Did you guys like the dialogue? I dropped the book at issue 6 because I just couldn't stand the interactions between the characters. Just my opinion. I would be open to jumping back on when a completely fresh arc starts.

It's corny and kind of forced but there's worse out there

Haha too true. At least it's no Hawk and Dove. *shivers

First off. The guy has no idea how to write kids/teenagers. I'm sorry, but he really doesn't have even the 1st clue. Enough of my mini-rant. Give some constructive points.

The argument that Marvel characters are more relatable just plainly isn't true. No super heroes in marvel or Dc are relatable in any way, and that's what is so great about them. They are characters greater than we are, and always will be. That is what is so wonderful about them. They deal with the things that ordinary human's could not deal with. Each and every one of them would sacrifice their lives for the greater good without a second thought. They battle ridiculous villains with little to no fear for their own safety. Spiderman knows that when it came down to it, he would sacrifice his own life in an instant for all the people of some town, even if it were to leave his own family without a father and husband (assuming he had a family :D) Do you really think Batman could pull off what he does just motivated by his parent's death. Hell no. He's not like we are. No human being alive would ever think to do what he does just because they suffered a great tragedy. All these characters are fantasies of what human beings could be when operating on the extremes of the moral spectrum. Superhero comics are just fights of extreme good versus extreme evil. Batman vs. the Joker. Captain America vs. the Red Skull. Superman vs. Lex. Spidey vs. the Green Goblin. It's all fiction, none of it is relatable. Just read the shit and enjoy.

I'm going to have to go with Jason Todd. His life, death, and rebirth is the most tragic story in all the Batman mythos. It put's a light on the seriousness of what Batman is doing when he chooses to bring others in with him to his world. Jason was Batman's biggest mistake, and it will always haunt him just as much as his own parents' death.

I don't believe in "bad" characters. With a good writer, any character can be amazing. Superman is no different. If written properly he is an absolutely amazing character to read about. Not enough people give Superman a chance because they believe him to be "overpowered", which is completely ridiculous because in any fictional medium the creator/creative team has the scope of their imagination as their limit to throw challenges in the hero's way that feels sincere and genuinely life threatening for the hero, in this case Superman. Superman's power set makes for even greater stories than many other hero's because god-like challenges have to be thrown at Superman if an author wishes to challenge him. This leaves the creative team open to show the reader a spectacle of storytelling that pushes a god-like being to his limits. Read All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison if you want to understand the scope and drama that a Superman story can be pushed to.

I don't think they will be removing anyone from the holy trinity (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman.) so soon from Justice League proper. But hell, anything is possible.
