Larfleeze is indeed powerful, but he is greedy which interferes with his fighting abilities. I feel like many super powerful characters, he cannot use his true power in combat because of his personality which I guess is good in his case. I noticed in Blackest Night he knocked out both Atrocitus and Lex Luthor by hitting them in the back of their heads with his lantern which I find funny since it proves to be more effective than him using his ring. It is funny that he probably is the only being who can use the Orange Lantern without being completely absorbed by it. I feel he has a fair balance of power while having a greedy yet goofy personality not unlike Daffy Duck I noticed. I have no complaints about the character, although he does remind of someone I know, just two things: since his battery was stolen how much longer does he have until he must recharge his ring? Also, when he appeared in Action Comics why did they draw his face so differently?

When he first appeared in the Crisis, he was something of a god-like threat, but since his return he seems to get pushed around a lot. It feels like the character is only considered a threat nowadays because of what he did in the Crisis, but not so much what he will do in the future. The Sinestro Corps War he was blown up, Superboy Prime flew right through his torso and threw him into space where he would be imprisoned in the Black Lantern Battery for awhile, and when he came back in Blackest Night, he got shot in the head. When he was revived again, Nekron easily banished him back home. I don't really like the Brightest Day Story, but I have been kinda following it and I think I know why that DeathStorm guy came to Qward, maybe to use the Anti-Monitor as a power source again? I really hope that is not the case because that would be pathetic and just recycling an old plot. Hopefully he will someday be the threat he once was or at the very least they might do a interesting story about him...

So aside him being a murdering psychopath (or at least that's what all superheroes seem to think), I can't help but think he is a comic book fan who loves DC before the crisis and his way of critiquing the modern DC universe by killing many people. In a indirect unintentional way, isn't he kinda of trying to prove whether pre-crisis heroes or post-crisis heroes are better? These are just my thoughts, anyone can comment as you please.
