There was once a beautiful Princess. And she was locked away in a tower by her parents who didn't want her to eventually become Queen. She waited and waited for a knight to come and rescue her someday, but none ever came and she died in the tower, sad and lonely.

The End.

Retconned (By FadeToBlackBolt):

Hearing of the Princess' tragic plight, a single knight braved the fires of Hell itself, intending to save her from the darkness. He and his noble steed, the horse known as Panda, galloped across the unforgiving plane, determined to save the Princess from whatever horrors lay ahead for her.

Upon reaching the stone gates of the Princess' Castle, the Knight dismounted his horse and approached the door. He proceeded into the castle, only to be attacked by all manner of fiend and monster.

But the Knight would not give up on his quest. He defeated each and every foe that stood before him. He would not stop until the Princess was safe. He journeyed further into the castle, until he found her chamber. He forced open the locked door, tearing it from its hinges. The beautiful Princess slept peacefully.

As the Knight moved slowly toward the Princess, he shook her gently. She awoke in a daze, only to see some attack the Knight from behind. A large sword pierced the Knight's back. The Knight screamed in pain, and slayed his attacker. But the attack had done its damage, the Knight's hideous visage was visible to the beautiful Princess.

The look of shock on the Princess' face was devastating to the Knight. Her expression reflecting the true horror of his appearance.

But the Knight had underestimated the beautiful Princess, for she was not only a creature of Heaven on the outside, but the inside as well. She approached the wounded Knight, and helped him leave her cruel prison. Though in leaving she set aside any chance of one day becoming Queen, she was free, and she would forever remain a Princess to him.
