Diamonds in the Rough, Part 1: The Rublemizer Box

Rublemizer's in Springfield, Missouri is attempting to raise funds to bankroll its attendance at a series of cons and toy shows over the next couple of months, and to this end, allowed me to fill up a short box from the store's considerable inventory for $40.00. Neither Silver Age stuff or more recent books to drool over, but I'm happy with the finds I did make. In addition to a Rey Mysterio action figure for my step-son and some books I intend to trade with a friend, I discovered quite a few titles I'd never encountered before or I had forgotten. What follows is a list of some of the gems I pulled.

I have the Last rites-arc, too. It was definitely interesting, the thing that DD did. I actually like it, in a way.

Swan lived for 76 years (plus a few months). I`d say it`s a good age. Then again...maybe 80 or 90 would be better. But who knows, maybe he woulda got a cancer if he`d lived that long.

YOU GAVE STARMAN-SERIES AWAY! THOSE OMNIBUS`S BETTER BE REALLY GOOD THEN! ACTUALLY, i ALSO HOPE SO FOR MYSELF, SINCE i WANT THEM MYSELF! I SHOULD STOP THIS YELLTYPING NOW!

@kfhrfdu_89_76k: I picked up 299 and 300 yesterday; I'm just lacking 298 now. I thought that DD's solution was outside-the-box, and that kind of originality in writing is something I can always get behind. I now live with Shannon, so if I don't want to carry an omnibus about, I can always borrow her single issues.

Do you want a wedding invitation? Visit the states... pick through my collection. I'll put a cot in my office and you can play on the PS2 and read comics, relatively safe from alien invasion and American ignorance.
