My other friend came directly from COD and was also one of the best infantry players that I have ever came across in Battlefield.
who cares about reflexes when you are staring down a barrel of a tank? Switching from COD to BF is a good idea (i did that) because you get the basic ground game, but it doesnt matter if you have better "infantry" skills. the whole point of the game is teamwork, in COD you're not only competing against the enemy team, but also you're teammates for the beloved "first place" and only worrying about getting kills.
battlefield has you focusing on getting kills, but also completing objectives, and rewarding you heavily for teamwork. assisting in kills, suppressing an enemy while another person kills him, passenger assists in vehicles, spot assist. in COD if someone steals you're kill, you hate them for life.
