I don't see why the team couldn't beat any of the D3 characters on their own. With regards to a particular character giving them more trouble than the others, maybe the Monk due to his speed advantage? Although the Paladin from D2 might be able to counter that, especially with the Sorceress throwing out AoE ice spells.

And ofcourse, the team could just have gear and buffs with thorn ability (I think that's what it was called), so all the melee characters would pretty much take themselves out of the fight.

I only know in game stats though, I'm gonna bookmark this thread to see if anyone with more Diablo knowledge can contribute.

EDIT: Haven't played the D3 expansion, how much of an enhancement does the power of Death give?
