Young Justice:

Used to be my favourite type of book, with young people and what not, still is to a lesser extent.

• Teen Titans - One of my most anticipated series, looking really forward to the Revamp on these characters because they seem to be much more interesting that they were before, plus the Writer seems to be the one who is doing Red Hood (and Superboy) which are books that I'm interested in, so if he's managed to interest me in all of these books without my knowledge that there was a common writer, then he's probably doing something right. Also, he's apperently playing the "Teenagers" factor up a bit, with Romances and Friendships that will start just as soon as they will end. I hope we get a true, Tim Drake plus Wondergirl relationship, sexual tension thing going on.
• Static Shock - I wasn't all that interested in the series, but I had some interest in it, however after the first title I've lost most interest in it, since the Creative team has changed and the first book wasn't all that interesting too and whatever... The book could've gone either way and it went in one which I didn't like all that much.
• Hawk and Dove - Don't really care much for the characters, I don't find much interest in them and combined with the fact that the author is Liefield (who I didn't dislike up until a few weeks ago, where two members who shall go unamed, turned me into a hater!) means I probably won't read issue two. I still haven't read issue 1 for that matter.
• Blue Beetle - I'm interested. I'm interested in the character, the powers, the atmosphere, the supporting cast. Are we going to get his two friend and Traci 13 too? I hope so. He's pretty interesting he's like a mixture of what I like in Venom and Iron Man, all together in one juicy character. Will be dissapointed if this isn't good, I have expectations to be met.
• Legion of Superheros + Legion Lost - Will probably pick up lost, but I don't know. Depends on the case. LoS is confusing, but the reboot era was amazing, which is why I'm more inclined towards lost.

The Edge:

The Edge has some of the characters I'm interested in the most - The Wildstorm characters.

• Stormwatch - Read the first issue and the book was good. It was solid. Actually (not to advertise myself) did my first CV review ever on it and to the moment the only review I have done. I think the book is doing a good job, but I didn't get some gratification as a long time fan that I was expecting... Oh well. Its good.
• Grifter - I read the first issue and while I think that there is potential for the series to grow on me, however I don't like the different approach to the series, specifically the character. I feel not only he the fact he has no Coda training a bummer (not real a biggie though) I feel that he waas too "emotional" if it makes sense. I mean, like, specifically in the sentence where he said "OMG I killed someone, like omg, like there's blood and like... its totally red" Okay, it didn't go something like that, but he was suprised to kill someone after putting a needle through their head. WTF.
• Deathstroke - Issue one was good, even though the ending was slightly disapointing. I'm really digging the new Deathstroke and I think this has potential to develop into something new in the DC Universe.
• Suicide Squad - I liked the first issue too, even though it was a bit lackluster and not much happened. It consisted of mini origin stories to each of the characters and a half full background that informed you of their current situation. You could probably skip the issue to read the second issue and you wouldn't miss much. Still its pretty solid and does a good set up.
• OMAC - Haven't read issue one. Didn't care for it before, don't care for it now.
• Blackhawks - Spiderbat87 said it best in the December Solicits/Covers thread. They seem to be kind of like the SHIELD of the DC Universe and I am digging it so much. Nothings out yet, but you people need to respect this title.
• Men of War - The title I liked the most out of all the titles that I've read. Its not a lot, but its maybe like one fourth of the DCnU. I really really dug it. I wasn't expecting it. I though that it'd be for sure very much like OMAC and Hawk and Dove and god how I love to be proved wrong. This was amazing and the thing is, I swear that I can't pin point what made me like it so much. I think its the more militaristic apporach to everything, the military usage, the ranks and specifically the guns. I loved it.
• Voodoo - The remaining Wildstorm character. Don't care much for it, but I'll give it a shot and if it gets a Spartan in the supporting cast, its probably going to be in my pull list.
• All-Star Western - I don't know much about the title, not really into the whole Jonah Hex thing, but I'm going to try to get into it.

The Dark:

Before I start, I never was really into Vertigo and stuff of this type ...Until a few weeks ago, when Aztek and to a lesser (but still formidable) extent Silkcuts introduced me to their world and I have to say its something I quite like. So I went from not really wanting any of these titles, to wating quite a lot of them.

• Justice League Dark - I'm extremely excited for this. Zatanna, Constantine and Enchantress specially. I'm digging it, but I don't have much to say on it.
• Swamp Thing - Interested in this, but to a lesser extent than the other titles. I think it will prove to be interesting to see if I will enjoy this since it is traditionally everything that I don't like, or better yet everything that wasn't my perferences.
• Animal Man - I liked the first issue and I love the whole family man aspect to the story even though light as a bumblebee is pretty stupid for a power. I'm sure he could just be a fly and fly (redundancy). I think the whole "Red" thing is interesting, specially when comepared to ST's "Green" and apparently Aquaman's "Blue".
• Frankenstein AoS - Looking forward to this, it seems to be drawing an interesting parallel to SHIELD in its title. I read the preview and I think its may be interesting, I know I use interesting a lot but this title is best described using interesting, so allow me to say its interesting. The fact as to how they play the whole undead thing may be a game changing factor though.
• I, Vampire - Know nothing about it, but if they play it like Blade its a buy. I doubt it though...
• Ressurection Man - Not nearly interested for it, at all. I don't know, how its going to be written but in theory I don't think its going to work for me, in this series, the fact of how undead the main character is, is possibly the way to see if I should get it or not.
• Demon Knights - Wasn't interested in it at first, still haven't read the first issue, but I think its important to mention that they appeared in Stormwatch and there are apparently some ties between the two groups... so it might go the right way.

Superman and Green Lantern titles

Superman:

• Action Comics - I'm not a big Superman fan, so it isn't very likely that I'll pick up this series, because if I do pick up any, it'll be Superman#1, since it leads with current events which is something that I am much more interested in. Though, if there is one possibility that I will pick up these titles, it will definitely will have to be the fact that it is written by Morrison and that can always make me pick it up.
• Superman - Like mentioned above, it is a possibility that I'll pick this book up, though it is extremely low, because I'm not that interested in Superman himself and could use my attention else where.
• Supergirl - This title is interesting. I love Supergirl and the first few issues of her run are have some of my favourite comic book moments in them, as well as her introduction in the Superman / Batman title. I don't know what I think about her hating humans, but if anything its an interesting addition that might make me pick up her book, because I eventually just dropped her book because it was too boring and lack luster, after sticking with it for a long time.
• Superboy - Another interesting title. I wasn't big on the "new" Superboy, that appeared in the Teen Titans pre-Revamp, cause it was something that turned him into just another Superman clone, very buff, with Kryptonian powers. Not saying it was bad, but it just didn't match my tastes. I do think that this title has potential and out of all the books in the Superman family it is definitely the one which I am the most looking forward too, specially with Rose Wilson in it and if they apply the TTK in a good uses.

Green Lantern:

• Green Lantern - I have discovered (quite literally 20 seconds before writing this) that in actuality Sinestro is taking the ring from Hal Jordan. Feel free to enlighten me if that is not acutally the case but this book has just dropped from the top 15 books I wanted to the considerably low end. This is because the change means two things. 1. Hal Jordan isn't in the book. 2. Sinestro is starring in it alone. I didn't have a problem with Sinestro as a Green Lantern, since I really didn't care if he was coming back to the corps, however I do mind that he stars in the book alone, specially if it means Hal Jordan won't be in the book. I don't like this.
• Green Lantern Corps - The book that is going to feature Guy and John. I don't really care much for either of the characters so I don't plan on doing much with these books.
• Green Lantern: New Guardians - I'm the most interested in this book because it seems to be the best one. It has Kyle and has a host of other Lanterns, all different. Its promising, with potential, but I'm not too excited for it. The fact that it has Kyle is good and I'm happy for it, because I love him, though it bothers me slightly that Guy isn't here cause I like their relationship.
• Red Lanterns - Meh. On Second though: Ed Benes art, what's up with that o.O. Might check this out, if it is anything at all in terms of writing, I might see it through.

Batman Titles:

Out of all the titles "groups" in the new 52, the Batman titles are the ones that interest me the most.

• Batman - I'm not sure whether I'm going to be picking this up, since there are so many titles starring Bruce. There's four or five with him as the main character, not counting him on the teams. Its a different kind of the Wolverine syndrome and I'm not sure if I like it. *I'll talk more about solutions in Batman and Robin*. Out of all of them though, Batman is most probably the one which I am going to take up to read consistently, since it is going to be the more standard, Batman vs Gotham. The more traditional style of Batman storytelling, which is a good thing, in my eyes.
• Detective Comics - I think that it holds some interest but not really on the top of my list, specially since its an "5 years ago" story. If the story takes an interesting turn in the Batman origin, I'll be more than willing to read it, but I don't think that I'll pick it up. I feel like it will be stale and while I may be totally wrong, I'm going to reserve judgement until more issues come out. If it gets something along the lines of a Morrison-esque, mind blower, it'll be just the thing to get me into the book.
• Batwing - Not getting it. If it had more of a Black Panther (T'Challa) feel (in the series some time ago. Not the current man without fear one, or the one before staring his Sister, or even the one before that. I mean the other one. Not because he's black. I don't care. I mean about him being more of a tech based hero, while still not fitting quite into the tech category, and staying in the Street Level, hand to hand category. I think diversity for the sake of diversity is stupid, but if they show us something good, I'm not going to say no. I just hope the character doesn't suffer from stereotypes.
• Batman: The Dark Knight - Another one of the titles staring Bruce. I'm not going to bash it or anything, but I'm going to say that Pre-Revamp, this title had a lot to show for, going into the more mystical routes of Gotham, however right now I know very little of what will differentiate it from the other titles and I'm worried about flooding the market with saturated content. Though I think DC is smart and they will make the series different, in its own right, or cancel it altogether. Though if they were thinking of cancelling it, I doubt they would have put it in the Revamp anyway.
• Batman and Robin - I like this title. It differentiates it from other titles considerably and doesn't even have the same feel as the others, with the additional variable that is robin. I don't know how well it will work with this particular combo and I don't know if I'll take this over the Batman series, but its worth it. However this title begs the question, do we really need four Batman titles, just like this? Not that I don't want Batman titles, but I feel there is only so much you can do with this, while there is a whole host of other option. Think Red Robin can't hold his own title, team him up with Dick Grayson and see both him and Tim kick some a**. Or team Dick with Babs and let us read a tense sexual sub plot while watch both of them get up under Two Face's nose. Or how about a more serious title with Cassandra and Tim? That seems pretty interesting. The ultimate Brawn and the ultimate Intelligence, though it might not be the best idea, its still an idea. The first one is still my personal favourite though, the glorious banter of Tim and Dick is unforgettable. It'd be my sacred book.
• Batgirl - While I'm kind of unhappy to see her leave Oracle, I'm quite happy to see her as Batgirl, being back to kicking a**. She's my favourite comic book redhead and she needs to go have some wild fun. I guess its unfortunate she ain't with the birds of prey anymore but the book seems solid enough.
• Batwoman - Meh, her character isn't really that much for me. She's pretty interesting but it isn't something that'll hold my interest or my cash.
• Nightwing - If this isn't on your pull list. GTFO! No, but seriously I love Dick Grayson and I really don't want to rationalize that because it would be twice as big as ALL of this blog it together. If I will, I'll say one thing. Batman's got tech like missiles and armor, Red Robin's got the Wings, but what the hell does Nightwing have? I hope they do something with that, specifically with the Escrima Sticks. It'd be pretty cool if the grapple function that is already on them would become nore like Daredevil and maybe he gets one more unique gadgety thingy.
• Catwoman - Better things to do... :P
• Birds of Prey - I like them, specially Black Canary, though I am finding it hard ot understand who the other girl is... Is that Katana? I haven't looked into this, but the title is doing a number of things wrong. This no longer looks like an agency type gig, but more of a two women running away from the law thing. Not that its bad, its just less interesting. Also, Poison Ivy looks horrible. Like, really bad.
• Red Hood and the Outlaws - I loved Jason, I loved Roy and I loved Starfire. But each of those had one thing happen to them each that made them go lower in my list. Jason got the new costume and became a villain, which nearly ruined his character. Roy went through all of the sh** that happened with Lian and his arm and going back to drug abuse and siding with deathstoke and got his arm ripped out and couldn't even have sex with chesire and went all villain-y and psycho and did I mention that he lost his freakin' arm and all he could do was moan? Good. Lastly, Starfire got stale after the JLA series where she went all wimpy about not being able to be on the same planet as Dick. I think that she has great potential, but like that she'll always be Dick's girl. But here is the good news, none of these things are going to matter now because Jason is back to his true self, Roy has got his arm and doesn't do drugs and Starfire is forgetting all about Dick for a (big) while. This means that three of my favourite characters are back in a good way. Furthermore, I would never have thought of this team when put together and when I first heard of it I nearly jumped out of my seat. Actually I did jump out, and I was happy because these mofos are awesome. I could go on and on about this, but let's make it short. They can kill. They are a small group. Not traditional heroes. No base. Small group. Not really a group but more a rag tag allaiance. That about covers it, in a short manner. Did they mention they'll kill?

For those that are interested I am still planning to continue my previous blog on the X-Men regenesis teams, but the characters that were announced in the most recent teasers put me off.

Justice League

• Justice League - This is the title to hold them all together. It starrs DCs top talent, Geoff Jones and Jim Lee, both of which are in their own right some of the best at what they do, even if writing and art is highly subjective. Being the top milking cow this is a title nearly everybody that is looking to get into the new maintstream DC will be picking up and enjoying to its full potential. It will feature the best characters in that the publisher has to offer in an all new take. There really isn't much to say, its a must pretty much.
• Justice League International - I didn't think that this title would be interesting at all. Not only did they remove a character that seemed some what like Donna Troy from the covers, they also decided to put Batman in it. Not that I have anything against Batman, or that I want Nightwing mind you (since some of you know I love him) but its just that since Batman has come back, we've been stuck with a happy Batman and I really wanted to see his dark, brooding nature, which really won't be shown on this team with Booster Gold and co. Not bashing Booster, just pointing out impressions. However after I watched the preview that was put out by DC, I think that it is pretty interesting. Booster seems playful, but not childish, which is the impression which I got from him in his beginning and that I didn't want for him to go back to. Additionally Batman isn't in from the beginning which seems interesting and maybe will allow for his Dark nature to have some effect on how he is incoorporated into the team. Godiva seems cool enough and Blue Beetle is awesome. The only thing that's missing is a Rocket Red redesign to become more like Iron Man and less like a tin man as well as have Ice become more defined. *PG's missing*
• Aquaman - Kind of disappointed that Aquaman remained with a costume that is so similar to what he had previously, since he is looked by so many people as useless. The appearance should have changed to a more "crustean" style, much they had said to be more relevant. And I know I say that a lot, but if anyone needs to be relevant, its Aquaman. I like the character and look forward to the book, but I don't know what will come of it even though he looks pretty angry in the cover and DC will probably learn from his mistakes.
• Wonder Woman - I don't have much interesting in whatever will become of Wonder Woman, unless they do something pretty interesting with her personality, her style or her powers. They already seemed to be taking the "Gods" path with this which is definitely a plus and does interest me. Also I have come up with a theory that she doesn't have a lasso, but the lasso is formed from force field like energy which is summoned from her braces, that also come up with shield. Let's see.
• The Flash - Here it comes. Barry Allen vs Wally West. Nice. Wally West is my preffered character from the bunch, but whatever them peoplez sayz, I think that Barry deserves the solo title. IT DOESN'T MEAN WALLY WEST SHOULD BE BENCHED DC, THAT'S A HORRIBLE IDEA! But that's a rant for another time, which will include him, Donna and Tempest. Also I'll talk about Cyborg and the pros and the cons of him being on the JLA (there are pros and there is a way it will make more sense, though it is a bad move). Anyway, Flash, I probably won't pick it up, I might, but probably won't. If it was Wally, I might even more, but only because he might attract my type of supporting cast.
• Captain Atom & The Fury of Firestorm - Don't really care much for either of these, though it will be interesting to see the twists to their character and the power levels that they're given.
• Green Arrow - I'm buying this title. I love Green Arrow and I like the special agent vibe I'm getting from this. For example, he gets his team and he doesn't seem unwilling to kill. It a nice Vibe. Tech will probably be included in the series and so I'm looking forward to it, since the last series was kind of stale.
• The Savage Hawkman - I don't know, depends on how they play out the character, but if the play a animalistic Wolverine-esque guy with a variety of weapons from the ages, then I'm in. But he has to have the weapons and probably the traits.
• Mr Terrific - Not my thing, though the alternative mask does look better. For him to carry a solo title there will be some differences in the character, so we'll see what'll happen.
• DC Universe Presents - No idea what's going to happen here and honestly don't care.
