Renegade Lantern

You all probably already know that The Light War is put on hold for a while. I made a post giving people a way to not have to use the rings if they don't want to until the Light war begins. That way you can continue to move your character in canon stories and not have to worry about changing power and what not because of the rings.

Once the Light war starts I'll easily make a post reigniting the rings and everything will be ready for the War.

Guardian 1 - He has been out for hours, the light is fading I can feel it.

Guardian 3 - This will have an effect on the rings he has forged, the medical staff said that all the power he has been using recently has taken a toll on his body. A human was not meant to be the power battery. We do not know how long he will remain in this coma

Guardian 2 - The book of Oa does not say any of this, as we speak it's pages are rewriting itself. We must extract the light from him.....NOW

Guardian 1 - How would we do that, the future of the all the corps are dependent on him living.

Guardian 2 - NO, the same technology that was used on him to fuse the green light into his DNA we will used to remove it and store it in a proper battery here on OA

Guardian 3 - When he awakens the power of the rings will be restored we should give him time, also what of the human, that process could kill him

Guardian 2 - Then it will be a sacrifice that he must make, the future of the corps and the world is dependent on the Light War happening. We cannot wait for him to wake, we must travel to sector 666 and find the ones that made The Renegade Lantern unique put his light into a power battery and continue with the Light War

Guardian 1 - So be it

Guardian 3 - This is not the way the book says but I agree the Light War is a necessary evil.  So be it

Throughout the universe power rings began to shut down due to Renegade Lantern being in a coma. It is unknown how many were depowered and who's rings were exactly affected. While Renegade Lantern lays in his coma that world around him continues to move. While the Guardians find the people the Light War is put on hold but without a shadow of a doubt with or withou Renegade Lantern the storm is coming.....

"The Zero Squad is now mine. Anyone got a problem with that, do something about it :D"

Kiara and Hottness you guys and just say how I gave you the ring

The prophecy was being fulfilled and the individual corps were being established.  The Renegade Lantern had chosen them off of experiences he had had with them and from what he has seen in his time on Earth since his return from New Oa. After giving a ring the violet light to Kiara and the orange light to the The Hottness the Power Battery headed towards a place that brought him joy to contemplate on who he would give the final Indigo light to.  Each person that was given a ring was to find suitors to fill their corps and a great war of light was to consume Earth sector 2814.  Renegade Lantern did not wish for this to happen but the influence of the Guardians made him do so. He didn't understand why the Guardians wanted this to happen. Yes it was written in the book of Oa but if the proof of something bad was in front of them why couldn't they just avoid it.

He flew across the sky with his traditional green light surrounding him. As he approached, he noticed that someone was already there. This did not bother him much but the person that was there was sure to be displeased about seeing him. Without thinking too much about it The Renegade descended and landed right next to the man. Together they stood looking at the ruins of what used to be the Zero Tower. One was there to find comfort while the other was their just to get a sense of what the other had been through and how he was at this point......

"You must be upset with me but I haaa"  said RL but was stopped cold by a left hook that came from the other man that was there Kurrent. The punch left the Lantern on the ground and Kurrent standing over him with disappointment in his eyes screaming "HOW COULD YOU DO WHAT YOU DO WHAT YOU ARE DOING, do you know how many people have looked up to you and you are going around giving weapons to maniacs" Immediately after he was hit his clothes changed to a red color and the first thing that filled his mind was blood but as he heard the words of Kurrent he calmed down and felt the something else.

An Indigo light shined bright around him as he stood and faced the man that took over for him. With the aura still shining around him and his clothes changed again he looked at him directly in the eye and began extended his hand. "I don't want no damn ring" said Kurrent remembering how it happened with DC. Quickly RL responded to him saying "And I don't want to give you one" When Kurrent looked down he saw that Renegade Lantern had his hand extended asking for him to shake. Kurrent looked puzzled for a moment then noticed the sincerity in RL's eyes like he was formally passing the torch to him and accepted the shake. Before they released grip of each others hand RL said aloud and Kurrent listened carefully "I have done some bad things but I am not a bad person. The Light War is inevitable, it will come to pass and I am destined to make sure it does. Like all wars their will be casualties but you Kurrent and your allies have the power to make a difference. Do not stay in the dark in the War of Light"  and with that RL released his and began to float up into the sky. Something clicked in his head while he spoke to Kurrent and at that moment he figured out who he would ask to bear the Indigo Light.  A few feet into the air he turned his head over his shoulder and saw Kurrent speaking into his watch saying the words "Veritas Unite" then smiled a little before taking off towards California.

Los Angeles

After a short trip RL was in the city of angles and that was exactly what he was looking for. He stood in front of the building that stood tall. It almost looked like the cloud wrapped around it. When he walked inside their was almost a militant yet light and fun feeling to the place. He walked towards what he interpreted as the lobby and saw a a soldier sitting at a desk and said to him"I understand this to be the We Are Legend headquarters, I am looking for a former pupil of mine You know her as Feral Nova. Please tell her that Renegade Lantern is here to see her and that I have something for her"

The words of his successor struck a cord even thought they have never met. From afar The Renegade Lantern has kept an eye on Kurrent's adventures and felt his courage but today that mattered none. "This does not concern you Kurrent and this must be done" The glow around RL began to change. Starting from his feet all the way up to his head his aura and uniform color changed. The whole time he was looking at Darkchild with hate in his eyes. He stuck out his hand and a large yellow light shined bright and what looked like a small implosion occured in Renegade Lanterns hand, then, he began to speak.

"Darkchild of sector 2814 you have the power to inst...."

Quickly, Kurrent realized what was going and stood up disreguarding the sharp pain that was running along his spine. He lunged forward towards RL with his gun pointed and fired screaming...."ARE YOU FU^%ing INSANE" Kurrent knew what was going on. He has read all about the Green Lanterns and giving someone like Darkchild a power ring was basically like just handing the world to him. Without moving the yellow aura that covered RL deflected the hard electric blast and quickly formed a yellow cocoon like consturt around him. The Renegede's intention was not to hurt Kurrent but he had to get him out of the way so in what seemed like a second Kurrent was launched within the cocoon and ended up in DC in front of the National Mall.

Whipering to himself RL said "Forgive me one day" then looked back at Darkchild. The hate in his eyes said it all. It was indeed a fact that RL was not stable and he was not the man he once was be he still had his memories and the hatred he had for DC was still there....

"Darkchild of sector 2814 you have the power to instill great fear. As it is written you will lead the Yellow Corps the Darkchild Corps in the battle of Light"

After he spoke the ring traveled form his hand and floated infront of Darkchild and RL took off in the air breaking the sound barrier as he fled. He knew that he had just given one of the greatest weapons in the world to one of the most dangerous people in the world but as it was written it would come to pass.
