@wolverine08: They've worked on the Hulk who has a healing factor on par with and at times even greater than Wolverine's. Also there's no such thing as "extreme immunity". You're either immune or you're not. Logan is resistant, but only slightly. His Healing factor just works to remove toxins and poisons from his body.

Tranqs have been used to slow him down and render him unconscious. Not just in comics but various other incarnations as well, so it's something that's been pretty much agreed to work on him with large enough doses. The darts Snake has each contain enough sedative to drop an full grown elephant. Given Logan's healing factor, it would probably take between 5-10 of these to be effective.

@jedixman: Palpy can't simply possess anyone he wants. It required a prior Force Bond with another or a prepared body for him to inhabit. He doesn't simply possess people at will. And Essence Transfer also requires overpowering the will of the intended host. Failure means his being is banished forever, like what happened with Darth Bane when he failed to take over Zannah.

Also, you seem to act as if Palpy goes straight for the kill. He doesn't. Like any megalomaniac villain he likes to talk. A lot. Especially about his views and how weak he thinks you are. Even removing PIS, there's nothing stopping Supes from lobotomizing him in an instant.

I would say Shadow and Snake take the lead. Though it's hard to figure what Snake's "standard equipment" constitutes as that changes on each game and situation. He could start with nothing more than his sneaking suit. Or a modified M9 with suppressor and sleep darts. Or even an P90 and reactive camo. Much of the time his equipment is acquired via OSP (On Site Procurement).

Since that's not likely, he would have to be outfitted with what would be deemed necessary for the assignment. Or what is most often used and iconic for Snake, like his SOCOM pistol and the M9. Snake has used everything from his bare hands to stinger missiles. But since Stinger and Nikita rocket launchers would be hard to carry around along with his other equipment, it's best to keep to the essentials.

Shadow can most assuredly keep the other team dancing to his tune with his mysticism. While Logan has dealt with the type before, he's never been unaffected by their influences. At times resistant, mostly when the effect is obvious, not so much when it's very subtle.

Ultimately there isn't anything that can kill Wolverine. But enough tranq darts can knock him out. Once incapacitated that's pretty much it for him.

I believe it has been more readily explained and shown that, while Bucky and Logan can resist mystic or psychic control to some degree, it's not enough to overcome the Shadow's mastery of it. Everyone involved is a superb fighter, and though Shadow has been around for more than a century, Snake is the better combatant, and while Logan should be more skilled than Bucky, he does tend to often rely more on powering through enemies and relying on his healing factor more than skill.

1) Deathstroke. The idea that Fett's weapons are superior because he's from SW is absurd.

2) Wolverine for obvious reasons. Lightsabers won't scratch adamantium and Grievous has nothing to stop Logan's regen.

3) Supes vapes the both of them, and Supes has TP resistance and abilities.

4) J'onn. Better telepath and far faster.

5) Darkseid

6) Batman

7) Hal

8) Hulk stomps

9) Iron-Man. Bane was never big on mind games and the Orbalisk's have a limit on how much they can absorb before burning up and dying.

10) Exar Kun. Carnage is still vulnerable to heat and sonics, and Kun is carrying around a heat-based weapon. If Carnage had element of surprise, then Kun might be dead before he even knew what hit'im.

11) Spider-Man. Physically superior and has encountered psionic users before.

12) Don't know enough about either of them

13) Apocalypse

14) Magneto. Rips apart Nihilus' armor and watches his spirit fade from existence without a shell to contain it. Sion gets ripped apart repeatedly by his own lightsaber and his chunky remains are thrown into a volcano or into space.

Sheogorath: Completely immortal and undefeatable.

Apocalypse has never even appeared yet in a Marvel movie, Disney or otherwise. And Thanos only has a cameo. Which makes this thread completely pointless, I'm sorry to say.
