  • Son of Anubis and last surviving member of the Hound Clan, Devil Dog and his foster brother Hellhound spent some years surviving the hostile environment of the Hell Realm the Yamainu came from. When his father figured out an escape from the realm, he sacrificed his freedom so that his sons would be free. He can use summoning arts to bring forth inugami, demonic dogs from the lower circles of the Hell Realms. He supports Hellhound's decision to rejoin the Clan to rescue his father because he wants the next mission they undertake to be to find the mystic Mask of Anubis that his father wore that granted him supernatural abilities. He says it's to facilitate the release of his father from the Hell Realm he's trapped in, but he really wants the power for himself.

  • The school doctor at the esteemed Marston Academy for Gifted Young Ladies, was personally recruited by Headmistress Dana Milton. Secretly the dreaded Witchqueen Circe, she employs Dr. Cylvia Salinger to conduct experiments on chosen members from the student body to create servants that will crush the Wonder Guard of Onogoroshima. Cylvia herself is Dr. Cyber, a powerful cyborg and member of the Mal-Practice.

  • Joji Shukumei was experimenting with a new device known as the Materioptikon, which allowed him to enter the mind of his patient to attempt to fix their mental issues from the inside. The constant exposure to the dark mental energies changed the mind of the doctor and he began to use the machine force others to experience their worst nightmares and commit crimes to gain funds to continue his research. The Justice League caught wind of the thefts he began to use their dreams to attack them. During the final battle, the machine was damaged and his consciousness was projected into the ether. With his new state, Dr. Destiny of the Mal-Practice gained not only the ability to influence the dreams of others, but the ability to turn nightmares into horrible reality.

  • Dr. Andwele Petiri Kumasi was attending the funeral of his sister Nkechi, who died attempting a magic ritual that killed their mom, when his sister's spirit called out to him; she tried to infuse Andwele with her powers, but he refused "the sight", which led to blindness and loss of sanity. A demon called The Shadower possessed Andwele's body, becoming Witch Doctor Mid-Nite of the Mal-Practice. The spirit of Nkechi, inside an owl, helped her brother destroy the Shadower. When he regained control, Andwele learned the arts of African magic in order to undo the evil the Shadower had caused, while retaining the name "Witch Doctor Mid-Nite." His sister's spirit remained with his spirit guide, the owl, until his training would be complete. As a result of his power's initial onset, Andwele can only see in total darkness or when his mystical "sight" is turned on.

  • Wields the Sword of Shindagham, which gives her the power over wind. She and her apprentice Shark are more fish-like in appearance, like all the people of Shindagham (due to the kingdom of Shindagam being near a school of fish when Airon turned the people into waterbreathers during the continent's sinking). Though she's a master, she's young enough to be in a relationship with Aquaman's former apprentice Tempest.

  • Katsumi Toriyama, aka the Wonder Girl of the House of Troia, is a sword-slinger. She's also a member of the Teen Titans, on the team led by Nightwing which includes Zoom Jr. and Aqualad. When she traveled to Oa to help the Spectrum Lanterns quell a Manhunter robot rebellion, she accidentally gained control of a cosmic energy source called the "Darkstar". Troia sought help to control her Darkstar transformations, but was captured by the Mal-Practice, a consortium of evil doctors led by Dr. Light. Controlled by the Mal-Practice, Troia went on a rampage until she was stopped by the other Wonder Girls, who also made sure that new members Orana and Mendozia didn't kill her.

  • The only person that Mongul fears is Darkseid. And for some reason, Darkseid feared the rise of the kryptonians as much as the being from Sector 2814 capable of ruining him. Mongul used his scientists to alter kryptonian DNA for years in attempts to create a weapon to use against Darkseid in order to take Apokolips from him and to finally be rid of Warworld. After Darkseid's and Mongul's defeat, Superman, Superboy, and Guardian leave Warworld to return home, but the experiment is set free. The beast called Doomsday works his way through the remaining inhabitants of Warworld, slaying as many as possible until they find a way to get him off the planet...he ends up eventually on Earth.

  • The Doom Patrol was a superhero team who adopted the young man who would later become Beast Boy. Members include psychic leader Mento, the stretchy Elasti-Girl, the nuclear phantom Negative Man, and the half-mechanical Robotman. They were later killed by their archenemies, the Brotherhood of Evil... or so we thought...

  • Surgeon Seihantai Emori was recruited by the government to secretly perform surgery on an extraterrestrial in an undisclosed location. During the surgery, there was an attack on the facility causing an explosion of the alien technology there. Sei and his two nurses became imbued with energies that gave them magentic powers, but these new gifts came with the price of their sanity. Now calling himself Dr. Polaris, he and his minions Nurse Nega and Nurse Posi use their abilities to perform the most cutting-edge surgeries....whether his "patients" want the procedures or not! Dr. Polaris is a member of the Mal-Practice.

  • Born with a diminutive stature, Etsuo Chikanatsu was the constant subject of relentless ridicule. The mental and physical abuse triggered a latent psychic backlash. Etsuo harnessed his latent psychic powers to brainwash women into his control, allowing him to perform torturous experiments on them. Dr. Psycho, a member of the Mal-Practice, replaced Dr. Cyber as the Marston Academy's physician, where he came into conflict with the Wonder Girls.

  • The Red Lantern of Green Lantern Kaio Rayner's team of Spectrum Lanterns.

  • High Priest Ah K'in Chilan was an acolyte of the Mayan sky god Itzamna, and wielder of the solar disc of Kinich Ahau. The lunar disc of Awilix was wielded by the High Priestess. After communing with the spirit world, Chilan pushed for the end of their bloody tradition of ritual sacrifice. The priestess, not willing to settle, started snatching people off the streets and committing the sacrifices upon them. The priest and priestess did battle, using their fire and shadow magics, respectively. The priestess fled into the shadows, and he gave chase over much of the continent. He finally killed her, and placed mystic wards over the lunar disc to keep it out of evil hands. Dubbed "El Dorado" by Spanish explorers, Chilan placed himself in suspended animation to control his own power... until he was awaken by Tempest and his other shaman teachers.

  • In an effort to replicate the effects of the Bakemono Hedoro that led to the creation of Plastic Man and Clayface, scientist Ryoji Daishi extracted the essence of a spirit known as a Nyoijizai (a humanoid Yokai that has the ability to stretch their limbs to great lengths), and infused himself with it. Elongated Man can only stretch his body, not shape it into different objects like Plastic Man or Clayface can.

  • Leader of a team of Teen Titans that includes Pearl Archer, Secret, and Li'l Lobo. The daughter of the Emperor of the Hidden Regions of Japan (home of the Batman). She conceals her identity because she isn't supposed to be a warrior. Her mother is a special type of ninja.

  • When the portals to the Hell Realm opened in the heavenly arena, the battle between Amanozako and Etrigan fell to Earth. Before Etrigan could finish her, they were sucked into magic cards. Years later, the witch Morgan Le Fey sent her lover, Sir Jason, after some magic items belonging to Merlin the Wizard. Before he could give her the card, Merlin shot magic that lanced through Jason. He tried to give the card to Le Fey, but pain hit the both of them. Merlin then said a mantra that caused Etrigan to emerge from Jason's body and defeat Le Fey; Merlin then recited the reversal spell. Forever bound to the card, the immortal Jason Blood recites the spell to change into Etrigan, and use their powers to help others.

  • Major Faith, Asia's representative to the Silent Majority. A naked amnesiac woman was found off the coast of Honshu, Japan. She was taken in and nursed by a Buddhist woman who was expelled from her monastic order for accusing a monk of evil acts. She taught the woman her faith, while she cared for her, and referred to her as Nobuko ("faithful child"). When the monk in question showed up, Nobuko was able to sense his malicious intent. She instinctively protected her benefactor with amazing psychokinetic abilities. The monk fled, but soon after a military unit arrived to retrieve the girl. After a display of power, the monk-woman persuaded her charge to submit, and have faith that all would work out. She left willingly and became a reluctant operative of the military. Her cover identity that is given to her by the military is Kijo Abura.

  • Stricken by the fear of death, African tortoise scientist Timothy Joseph Terrapin figured out a way to reverse the aging process. He experimented on himself with a Darkstar piece and began to age backwards, regaining his youth. A side effect of the rapid de-aging was a super charged metabolism granting him super-speed, that he noticed would regulate his aging the more he used it. His age and personality are in constant flux depending on his power usage. TJ is now the heroic Captain Shellswipe, one of the Captains of Zoology.

  • The division of The Agents of Apokolips known as The Female Furies are renowned for using their bodies as the highest reward for Darkseid's most faithful and as weapons against the enemies of their liege. Their disarming sexuality allows them to get close enough to any target, utilizing their specific vices to take them out. They are also powerful enough to take on armies head on as they train on Mongul's Warworld on a regular basis. Raised in the torturous conditions of Granny Goodness' orphanage, they are known as the most desired as well as most feared women on Apokolips. They also train the legions of Apokolips as well a the next generation of Furies. Current Members are Big Barda, Brenadeth, Lashina, Stompa, Mad Harriet, and Guilotina.

  • Very indoctrinated in the ways of Su'phala's fire martial arts. She believes that men are only good for procreation. Even though Fire had begun to adopt some of those beliefs from Siren, she begins to question them when she hears them aloud coming from her new apprentice. When Siren returned, she expelled Fire and took on Fever as her apprentice. This infuriated Fire's friend Icemaiden, who later quit being Killer Frost's apprentice.

  • Apprentice of Siren. When Siren went missing, Fire took on the Sword of Su'phala and Fever as her apprentice; when Siren returned, she kicked out Fire and took on Fever as her apprentice. Fire's friend Icemaiden, another samurai apprentice, quit being Killer Frost's apprentice in protest of this.

  • Lynn Gaarashima is a firefly-based totem with energy powers. Leaving Insecton, a Kingdom of Animus, for Earth, she was hired by the dark sorceress Tabu to track Animal Man and Vixen to Africa, capture them, and return their halves of the Omnitotem for her. Her light powers grow as she changes more into a more insect-looking monster.

  • Ronald Jason Raymond is the grandson of Captain X. When Jason's body became the new vessel of the Shadower, X and Witch Doctor Mid-Nite went to the Palace of the Dragon Emperor. Along with a young woman, the 2 heroes asked the Emperor for a magic pearl with healing powers; the Emperor agreed, but only if they bested his son, Arashi-No-Kaji, in battle. The woman killed the Dragon King to protect her allies, breaking the deal, so the Emperor attacked them. X seized the pearl and rushed back to the US. At the hospital, the heroes held off the dragons as the woman revealed herself to be a minion of the Shadower. Jason's doctor, Dr. Stein, KOed the witch and seized the Pearl. As Arashi's soul allied with Stein and Jason against Shadower, the human bodies fused together. With Shadower foiled, the dragons ceased their attack. Jason and Martin, by combining the two halves of the Dragon Pearl, can become Firestorm, a hero with dragonic powers.

  • Lorraine, a friend of Jason Raymond, was stabbed by Belyllioth, the female acolyte of the Shadower, during the incident the created Firestorm. A feather that Belyllioth stole from the Dragon Emperor's palace landed on Lorraine's chest, and with her final breath, she clutched it. The magics of the feather enveloped her and she became the new vessel of Fenghuang, the Phoenix Empress. Fenghuang/Lorraine flew from the hospital and disappeared. A news team that was capturing the incident on film referred to her as "Firehawk".

  • A Teen Titan who is obsessed with her teammate Nightwing. She was enhanced by a Thanagarian scientist to have bird-based powers.

  • The Funayurei is the cursed ship of Captain Fear, manned by the ghosts of the his cursed crew. Captain Fear can call for the ship on any large body of water to appear and transport them to locations by traveling through the waterways of the Subtle Realms. Falling off the ship during this passage means becoming forever trapped in the spirit realm. Fear was outfitted with a sword crafted from focus technology, which allows him to generate a blade of spectral energy; he also acquired the haunted pistol of Baron Hemlocke. On a mission with the Captains of Industry, he uses The Funayurei to transport the CoI to the Realm of Pytharia, the birthplace of his Red Claw. They learn more of the origins of the Claw of the Unconquered, as well as the other items that were forged along with it: The Sword of Pytharia and the Flame of Py'Tar.

  • When young Kuru-Ku discovered the 7 keys to the shell that brought him to Earth, they activated a hologram system of his birth father, Joru-Ku. Joru stressed the importance in having a low profile with the use of his powers, and stated that his training would commence; after it finished, all would be revealed. The rocket produced a crystal, and when Kuru seized it, it flew him to the North Pole. He let go of the crystal and it dropped into the ice, producing a building made from the mineral. He would eventually call this place his Fortress of Solitude, and it would be where his training would begin under BRAINIAC. When he became the Superman, he started collecting more Kyrptonian technologies to aid him in his battle against evil, such as Kel-X, a custodian robot, and the Solar Chamber, which healed him after the second Man of Steel Tournament.

  • After having the misfortune to witness the horrific acts of Captain Nazi, Fumio Fujishima's grandfather was killed in front of the boy. The boy was then flung miles from the incident by Nazi. He had a near death meeting with Xiazamm and was granted access to Captain Marvel's powers. Cadet Marvel is determined to expose the Captains of Infamy and take revenge for his grandfather.

  • Lyta of the House of Furia is the cousin of Eriko, the Wonder Girl of the House of Cassieopeia. They are both descendants of Aesira the Traitor, who is cursed to guard the gates of hell as a bird demon. When Devastation and Izanami were defeated by Wonder Woman, there was no longer a reason for the Amazons to remain isolated and Queen Hippolyta left Onogoroshima to join her daughter Megumi, the Wonder Woman, in Man's World. Since Kichijoten, the goddess of the Amazonian people, never wanted Hippolyta to leave the island, despite decreeing that she must remain as long as Devastation's threat existed, the goddess sent a team of new Wonder Girls, led by the hammer-wielding Furia, to capture the Queen. This team includes Anastasia (sickle), Thenia (axe), Trinitia (sword/lasso/shield combo), Concordia (mace), and Sandiria (whip).

  • One of the native people of Oa, Ganthet and others became the Guardians of the Universe, the founders and leaders of the Spectrum Lantern Corps. Ganthet is the handler of Kaio Rayner's team of Spec-Lans.

  • General Dru-Zod was the grandson of the dead leader of a Kryptonian resistance cell that opposed Darkseid. He was forced to marry Kaori, niece of "Our Jailer" (aka Joru-Ku, who was forced to create control collars for Darkseid), but on the day of the wedding, an assassin who hated Zod sabotaged the P-Zone Projector, sending the city of Kandor into the Phantom Zone. He, his fiance, and his lieutenants escaped from the Zone, but they left Kaori on Apokolips when they found a BRAINIAC probe that told them of "The Son of Our Jailer"'s location. Zod, Non, and Ursa battled and bested Superboy, Steel, and Guardian, but were defeated by Superman, the one they sought to destroy.

  • After the Missing Master Quest, Geo, The Samurai of the undersea kingdom of Lemuria reveals to his sister Terra and her apprentice Sand that there can only be One Master and One Apprentice, so he had no choice but to transfer his knowledge to Terra and wipe his own memory. Geo would awaken on land with no memory of anything of his life under the sea. After passing on the earth-controlling Sword of Lemuria, Geo eventually gained another mystical item: The Gauntlet of Tezumak. The Gauntlet grants Geo strength, earth and gravity control, searing 'lava-blasts'. The banished apprentice Tempest would relay this information to Batman, and the ninja hero recruits him into the Outsiders

  • Dorisu Zenryoku was an obese but intelligent girl who wanted to be liked. She was teased by the school's resident mean girls, who called her "Giganta" based on her girth. After passing out while trying to decorate for the school dance, Dr. Cylvia Salinger (aka Dr. Cyber), prescribes her a giraffe/gorilla DNA-based serum helped her lose weight. When she returned to school, no one recognized the statuesque stunner as the butt of all their jokes, and Dorisu was asked out to the formal dance by the boyfriend of the head mean girl Gerta Von Gunther. At the dance, she was set up with a practical joke where they dumped pig entrails and blood on her head. Dorisu gave into her rage and she became superhumanly strong and 30 feet tall as she attacked the dance patrons. Megami Mikoto slipped out to become Wonder Woman and engaged her in battle. Giganta was bested but she escaped custody, becoming a new soldier in Witchqueen Circe's army.

  • One of Darkseid's Female Furies. Starving and orphaned, the young girl stole a piece of discarded bread from Darkseid's palace. She was chased by the guards, and eventually caught. When they charged her with theft, her defense was that it was thrown away. The response was that even Darkseid's refuse belongs to him. Her punishment was amputation of both hands (for stealing) and both feet (for fleeing)...one digit at a time. After her punishment, she was sentenced to prison where she was placed in a cell with grown men who had been incarcerated for years. Seeking to take advantage of the girl, they attacked her, but the trauma she had experienced throughout her life triggered her to retaliate and she fought back, impaling them with shivs attached to her stumps. Granny Goodness took notice and had her transferred to her Orphanage, where she would begin her training to become one of the Female Furies. Guilotina was eventually outfitted with bionic replacements (equipped with blades) and reveled in cutting off the limbs of others.

  • One of the deadliest criminals sought by the Intergalactic Police Force, who killed someone close to the Wonder Twins. He flees them until he lands on Earth. Jayna used the bonding ritual on Gleek, spiritually bonding them so that if she dies, he dies. They cannot return home and let Gleek face the death penalty without dooming Jayna to the same fate. They decide to stay on Earth until they figure something out, and fighting evil on the side. They employ holographic image inducers to walk amongst humans as Marvin, Wendy, and Wonderdog. After helping the Justice League defeat the White Martians, Gleek and the Twins join the League as trainees.

  • The Yellow Lantern of Green Lantern Gai Gardener's Spectrum Lantern team, G'Nort is a wise and courageous veteran. His younger brother G'Newman died before he could complete his training in the Spectrum Lantern Academy, and G'Nort pulled some strings to get his goofball nephew G'Narf into the Corps.

  • One of Will Magnus' Metal Men. Weapons: Luster Cannon, Gold Dust Dispersal, Torso and Limb Extension. Abilities: Second-highest resistance to chemicals, heat, and electricity. Personality: Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible, and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, works steadily towards identified goals. Can usually accomplish any task once he has set his mind to it.

  • The leader of a team of Teen Titans known as the Raptor Squad. He was enhanced by a Thanagarian scientist to have bird-based powers.

  • The happy-go-lucky younger sister of Captain Cold, Intla Kainoa was recruited to replace her ousted sister as Captain Glider, guardian of Antarctica. She's a world class skater, and uses her powers to generate ice, allowing her to even skate in the air.

  • After an ancient civil war that resulted in the formation of the Precious Bows and Arrows, the defeated regions split from mainstream Japan and became the Hidden Regions, a land hidden far from the eyes of modern society; it is encapsulated by a magic barrier that prevents modern technology from existing within, forcing the cities of the Regions to resemble the Feudal Era of Japan's history. One area of this land is the Goth-Ahm Prefecture, with its capital city, the City Beneath Mt. Goth-Ahm. The emperors of the prefectures employ samurai warriors in the military, while ninjas can be hired from the clans controlled by the independent League of Shadows for more specialized missions. Also existing within the magic barrier, but off the coast of Japan, is the inescapable Island of Arkham, where clerics reside to heal the sick minds of criminals transported there by Goth-Ahm City's greatest ninja hero, The Batman.

  • A great emperor had many enemies, so he had the immortal Amethyst, daughter of the goddess Marishiten, seal her magics in bows and arrows made from precious metals and stones, creating the Precious Arrow Battalions. Centuries later, archaeologist Ori Kisaki found the tomb of the Battalions, but the head of the dig's security, Kisai Mahoutsukai, got greedy. The 2 tussled, and Kisai launched an obsidian arrow that destroyed the chamber. Ori survived in the chamber for months, training to use the emerald arrows to hunt rats for food. When he escaped, he took the emerald, ruby, gold, and jade arrows with him. He became the Emerald Archer, champion of the people, and took on several apprentices that he would bestow a bow and set of precious arrows to. Emerald and his first apprentice Ruby Archer served in the 7 Soldiers of Victory, before Ruby joined the Teen Titans and Emerald joined the Justice League.

  • Harinezumi Juon (female Hal Jordan) was a scientist from Rikushigai City working on a secret project for the company Light-Tech; her father Haru, also a scientist, is deceased. They were developing a light-based weapon system, capable of creating objects out of solid light. One night when Hari was working in the lab, she found a file on the planet Oa. She discovered that they were actually repairing alien technology and the owner was an alien named Sin-Es-Tro. After he tried to kill her, she donned the green prototype to escape. Hari traveled to Oa and enlisted in the "Spectrum Lantern Corps", the galaxy's elite police force. As a Green Lantern, Hari commands a battalion of Manhunters and her Spec-Lan team mates, Red Lantern Tomar-Re, Blue Lantern Killowog, Yellow Lantern Salaakk, Pink Lantern Aresia, and Purple Lantern Katma-Tui. There are other Spec-Lan teams, including ones led by Green Lanterns John Stewart, Gai Gardener, and Kaio Rayner.

  • Yuurei the Gray Ghost was an apprentice of the ghost ninja Spectre, and the current sensei of the Question, Wildcat, and Black Canary II. He fights with his left arm (his right arm was removed by Master Spectre), while his former teammates Phantom Lady and Phantasm fight with their legs and right arm, respectively.

  • When the USA banned human cloning, the agency Cadmus decided to move their facility to Kyoshigai, Japan, where there was a technological boom, thanks to LexCorp. Since Cadmus was also banned from using American DNA, they decided to use the DNA of a local hero. Jinshirou Hama, the great-uncle of Ryo Hama, the Ruby Archer, was a soldier who served years ago. Even though he was Japanese, they wanted the clone to be American. The clone was implanted with the false memories of Jim Harper, martial artist and New York cop. When he started seeing inconsistencies in his past, he realized he was trapped in a Matrix-like simulation. Director Westfield told him of Operation: Guardian. The clone forced himself awake and fought his way out of the lab, locating the armor and energy-shield they had planned on him using. He would retake the name Jinshirou Hama and set up residence in Kyoshigai's worst area, the Suicide Slum.

  • The Guardians formed the Spectrum Lantern Corps because their own vision towards justice was very "black and white" and the diversity of the Corpsmen allows for greater perspective in interpreting and dispensing galactic justice.

  • A warrior from medieval times, Gai suffered a nasty temper, so his king sentenced him to be the palace gardener to control his anger. A team of Spectrum Lanterns, who traveled back in time to capture alien terrorist Kanjar Ro, meet Gai, and give him the Green Powersuit when their Green Lantern perishes in battle. After capturing Kanjar Ro, Gai Gardener ends up in the future with the Guardian and the other Spec-Lans, and he becomes the new leader of this team.

  • Tsuritsa "Cindy" Romani, born with the ability to cast illusions, was kidnapped by Sonar and hypnotized into fighting for Roulette's underground bloodsport circut, The Metabrawl. Her unique abilities is being amplified by Sonar's technical equipment and harnessed with his sound manipulating abilities as the subliminal hypnothearpy that keeps the metabrawlers in line. Cindy is the girlfriend of Sonar's younger brother Vibe, who seeks to destroy the Metabrawl and rescue her from Roulette.

  • An assassin named Hana Murasaki, was paid to slay six angels (the Halo Realms' earthly guardians) and bring their halos to her employer Carl Sands (the mortal guise of Shadow Thief). She was then killed by another assassin he'd hired, Syonide. Her corpse was reanimated by the combined halos, which transported her away. When a group of thugs try to take advantage of the blank slate of a girl, the Blue Beetle springs to her defense. She seems at war with herself and blinds him before fleeing. He tells Lady Blackhawk of the incident, which was relayed to Batman. Halo was later recruited into the Outsiders. The colors of light she generates relate to their different effects.

  • Years ago, an minion of the devil roamed the land with a band of demons. Years later, Hasami Kirin was saved by a mysterious man. She later became a healer on Arkham Island, who fell in love with Arkham's most dangerous prisoner, the Joker, who she knows to be the man who saved her life. The Joker escaped the Island, but was soon brought back after being beaten to a pulp by Batman. Hasami entered Joker's mind in order to heal him, but the contact corrupted her good nature. She soon helped him and other villains escape the Island. When they made it to the mainland, Hasami told Joker of the devil's emissary. She felt that the Joker was the devil and she was now his right hand. That character's name was...Harlequin.

  • Kendra Takagawa found a deck of cards in her great-uncle's shop. She was approached by a wealthy man who sent thugs after her when she refused to sell the cards. She challenged him to a card duel, and was on the verge of winning when the man summoned the Shadow Thief card, who convinced him to pull out his gun and shoot Kendra. By violating the ancient rules, the man's soul was torn from his body, allowing Shadow Thief to possess him. He took both sets of cards and left. Sensing Kendra's death, her last monster card, Shayera the Hawk Angel, flew into her body, healing her while fusing the two souls together. She now has the ability to switch bodies with Shyeara and goes by the name Hawkgirl. Their mission is to stop Shadow Thief from acquiring the rest of The Deck and freeing the evil beings trapped in the cards.

  • Qatar Ohl was a police officer from the planet Thanagar, who was hunting a fugitive accused of killing her senior cleric. Qatar chased Shayera into a dimensional rift, which sent them to Earth. Realizing they were trapped, Qatar and Shayera decided to forget their past and become lovers. The 2 soon participated in the magic battle that ended up with them trapped in magic cards. In modern times, Shayera fused with the human Kendra Takagawa, who was a rival of fellow card duelist Haru Katoh. When Haru's card containing the spirit of Qatar Ohl, the Lord of Hawks, was about to be destroyed, he allowed his spirit be fused with Qatar to save the spirit's existence. They flew off, and became the hero collectively known as Hawkman.

  • Brothers and Teen Titans who were enhanced by a Thanagarian scientist to have bird-based powers.

  • Becky Sharpe, a dancer, promised her dying grandmother that she would give up her gambling. This would be an empty promise as she joined the dance competition "So You Wanna Be A Dance Star?!" and placed a huge bet on herself to win. The fear of losing to her friend Maxine caused Becky to lash out and break Maxine's legs with a pipe. However, even though Maxine could no longer dance, the audience fell in love with her and voted her the winner. Unable to repay her bookie in cash, she had no other choice but to sleep with him. Her grandfather caught them and fatally attacked the bookie; the stress triggered a heart attack and Becky's grandfather died as well. After regaining her composure, Becky learned of an underground gambling parlor called The House from the bookie's computer. Roulette, the boss of the House, subjected Becky to her hypnotherapy techniques, making her into a Glam Slammer called Hazard. Hazard is once again rivals with Maxine, now called Cyclone, as she fights to pay off her gambling debts.

  • Mick Rory was born in Australia, and he was a member of the Bushrangers motorcycle gang, which included the future Captain Boomerang. Rory was in jail when Rowena began her heroic career, and when he was released, he sought out the Captain to blackmail. He threatened to reveal the truth in order to score a date with Rowena's fellow CoI, Chilali. Rory and Chilali were in a hotel suite when Rory took hold of one of Chilali's focus pistols, which she uses as Captain Cold. Intending on stealing her weapon, Rory pulled the trigger... launching a stream of searing flame! After the hot/cold shootout, Rory disappeared. 3 months later, Rory finished creating his own focus pistols and returned Cold's to her. After Cold and Boomer were kicked out of the Captains, thanks to the Flash, they founded the Rogues, which includes Rory, now called "Heatwave".

  • Kai Chishioryuken, the son of Bloodhound and adopted son of the Hound Clan general Anubis, after it was believed that his father was killed by the Cat Clan. He was trained in the secret techniques of the Egyptian Cerberus Clan that Anubis joined. He has the ability to control the inugami (demon dogs) that his "brother" Devil Dog summons, by leashing them with enchanted chains. After escaping from the Hell Realm that they were trapped in for a number of years, Hellhound and Devil Dog found out that almost five times that many years had passed on their home realm. Crimson Fox doesn't like Hellhound, but sees him as vital to her mission. She tries to get him to help her on her mission but his ambitions lie elsewhere. He changes his mind when she reveals that his father, Bloodhound, is still alive and the prisoner of the Emperor. She wants to avenge their clan, free their leader, and help Hellhound assume his rightful place at the head of the clan.

  • A Teen Titan. His mutated hypothalmus allows him to regulate his body temperature, enabling him to spontaneously combust with no ill effects on the body. He can project the heat offensively.

  • In the ancient times, Hippolyta was the mortal mistress of the war god Bishamon. She was then captured by the demon Mikaboshi, who made her and other women his immortal sex slaves. Bishamon freed the women, who founded their own hidden nation on the island of Onogoroshima. Before his death at Mikaboshi's hands, Bishamon gave Hippolyta, the queen of Onogoroshima, a pure soul he stole from Yomi, the under world. Hippolyta placed the soul in a clay statue and raised the new infant as her daughter. Queen Hippolyta's daughter Princess Megami is now the Wonder Woman, leader of the Honor Guard of Wondrous Women. When the threat of Izanami and Devastation was vanquished, Hippolyta left the island to be with her daughter in Man's World. As a human, she would take on the identity of Lidia Prince. As an Amazonian warrior, she wields a sword, a shield, and a lasso.

  • The Huntress (Hikari Ryoushi) is an apprentice of the mysterious Red Hood, along with Azrael and Hush. She specializes in weapons, especially the giant crosssbow on her back. Born into a crime family with an abusive father, Hikari was just 7 years old when tragedy struck. After being warned to never lay a hand on his own wife again, Hikari's father struck both her and her mother repeatedly in a drunken rage. Her mother's brother, Kyoushou Morinaga (aka the assassin "Hitman")- who had issued the warning- showed up and eliminated the household guard before killing Hikari's father in front of them. Distraught, Ikari's mother killed herself, leaving the child with no one. Her uncle took her with him, and trained her to be an assassin like him.

  • The codename of the Mangaverse's version of Cassandra Cain.

  • The pointmen for the White Martians' invasion of Earth, the Hyperclan used their technology to impersonate the Justice League. The members are the leader Solar Warrior Protex (Superman), Shadow Warrior A-Mortal (Batman), Warrior Woman Primaid (Wonder Woman), Armored Warrior ArMech, who is really Energy Warrior Tronix (Green Lantern), Speed Warrior Zwift (The Flash)[Zum], and Weapon Warrior Zenturion (Aquaman).

  • A royal of Sommersa, Icemaiden had been sheltered, but was chosen by Killer Frost against the wishes of the Council of Elders. She is very naive, and Killer Frost is subtly trying to corrupt her and turn her against everything she's known. Her training swords absorb energy (especially heat) to train for Iceweaving. When she acquires the Sword after Killer Frost went missing, her inexperience allows her to be swayed by Minister Blizzard to choose Freeze as her apprentice.

  • Master of the ice-weaving Sword of Sommersa. His apprentice Frost, who he abused, eventually killed him, took the Sword and became Killer Frost.

  • Impulse is the half-brother of Zoom Jr. When Zoom Sr. finds himself lost and injured in the future, he falls in love with the woman who nursed him back to health and the have a son named Kosuku. Kosuku becomes Impulse when he travels into the past in order to insure his birth. He stays in the past and joins Superboy's team of Teen Titans. He later learns he has a twin sister, who seeks revenge on him as Inertia.

  • The combination of hypersuits Quick and Streak merge to form the black and green Inertia suit. The pilot of the suit is Kaede Kaitou, who's mission, it seems, is to destroy her twin brother Impulse. Her suit has the ability to transfer speedforce energy to other objects, causing them to accelerate.

  • One of Will Magnus' Metal Men. Weapons: Spike Cannon, Chains, Ferromagnetism. Abilities: Tool and Weapon Construction, second physically strongest. Personality: Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work. Excellent skills with mechanical things. Risk-taker who lives for the moment.. Uncomplicated in his desires. Loyal to peers and internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, excels at finding solutions to practical problems.

  • Adrianna Tomaz came to Japan in search of her brother Amon, who was killed by the Intergang. She was critically wounded in a fight between the Intergang and Black Adam, and Adam told Cpt. Marvel to take her and a magic amulet to the wizard Xiazamm. Now healed and given magic powers, Adrianna watched as Adam brought Amon back to life with his essence. The siblings are now Isis and Osiris, loyal empowered allies of Black Adam.

  • Half-human and half-alien, Jade is the daughter of Green Lantern Hanami (the widow of Abin Sur) and Earthman Atsuo Sakanoue. She's also the twin sister of the shadow-bending hero Obsidian. She was originally the Violet Lantern of Kaio Rayner's team of Spectrum Lanterns, but she eventually became a Green Lantern in her own right, due to being natural-born with the affinity to the color (which also explains her attraction to Kaio). She can manipulate green energy on her own, but her powers are amplified when she wears her Lightsuit.

  • Selma Tolon was an American trained Muslim Turkish doctor working with a Turkish relief group. When an earthquake happened, she went to the disaster scene to help. Falling into a hole opened by the earthquake, she found the artifacts hidden by the wizard Merlin after the defeat of Sultan Suleiman the Great by a demon called Etrigan ages ago. She now carries the Al-Kitaab Al-Sihr (a book of magic paased down from two fallen angels), which helps her to cast magical spells, but she has not mastered it yet. She also wields the mystical scimitar of the Sultan Suleiman. These artifacts have given her great strength, stamina, fighting powers and ability to fly. She joins the Captains of Industry as Captain Janissary, a defender of both Europe and Asia.

  • Daisuke's older brother, Jotaru "Redwing" Kagehane, after surviving the green-haired ninja's attack, went insane and became the Red Hood. He assassinated his entire clan (previously associated with the green-haired ninja) for leaving him to die, and now he's after Batman. After Hood is dropped of at Arkham Island, his apprentices Huntress, Azrael, and Hush allied with the Batclan, and Hood takes on a new sidekick, a girl called "Crimson." When he and Crimson escaped from Arkham, he revealed to the Batclan that he's a member of a criminal empire called the Red Hand. The Joker, a former Red Hand member known then as Red Jester, kidnapped Jotaru as a boy in order to make him his replacement. Now Red Hood wishes to leave the Red Hand by making his little brother his replacement. Nightwing was going to accept, but Robin took Red Hood's place instead, becoming "Red Robin".

  • In the DC Mangaverse, Jay Garrick is fused with Max Mercury to become Max Garrick, aka Mercury.

  • Joichi Washimi is the son of Legendary assassin Deathstroke. As a child, Deathstroke's family was targeted in retaliation. Jericho's throat was slit, and as his assailant looked into his eyes, Jericho's ability to enter the bodies of others activated. He fled the location after killing the other assassins and went to a medical facility. He released the man's body and he was taken into custody. Jericho was healed, but lost his ability to speak. After surviving the attempt on his life, he joined an order of monks. Years later, he learned from Terra that his father was hired by the deadly Queen Bee to locate and assassinate her rogue daughter, Bumblebee. He assumes the name Jericho, and locate the Herald to transport them to Bumblebee's location, forming a new team of Teen Titans.

  • Jinpei Oruson is a friend of newspaper reporter Lotus Ling and an intern at her job. He later becomes an amateur photographer, mainly chronicling the heroic exploits of Superman. He's also a friend of the newspaper's new employee Kuroki Kento...

  • The Justice League of Asia is a superhero team formed by alien martial artist Superman, ninja Batman, magic princess Wonder Woman, energy-manipulating Green Lantern, hypersuit-wearing Flash, and sea samurai Aquaman. Martian Manhunter, Emerald Archer, Black Canary II, Hawkgirl, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, the Wonder Twins & Gleek, Atom, and Plastic Man join the League later. The League was first conceived when Superman met the Flash at a charity race, and later they officially cam together to face an alien menace...

  • John Stewart comes from an alternate timeline where the Solar Impact Shell hit the sun, destroying Sector 2814. The broken pices of the planets were formed into a new world called Mosaic. John and other lifeforms were enslaved by Darkseid to mine out special gems. John started a resistance army against their opressor, and were aided in the final battle by the Green Lanterns, who survived Sin-Es-Tro's attack on Oa. A Lantern was slain, so John took his lightsuit. Soon, Darkseid took his prize and began to unravel the universe with the Anti-Life Equation. An angel named Harbinger told John to find the portal to escape this universe, and he took his adopted nephew Kaio Rayner with him. In the main universe, John traveled to Oa, and told the Guardians what happened. He formally joined the Corps and gained his own team. John insisted that Kaio be trained to be a Lantern, too.

  • "Quick" and "Streak" are 2 female hypersuit pilots, working for a villainous hypersuiter known as "Savitar", who stole hyper-tech from the 25th century to plague the past. Jessie Garrick is the pilot of the Quick suit and she holds a grudge against her father Max for favoring her sister Belle over her. Streak's pilot is Ivana Christina Alexandrova. Just like how the Flash and Zoom suits can merge together, the purple Quick suit and blue Streak suit can hyperlink together into a more powerful suit... a black and green one...

  • In an alternate universe, Max and Joan Garrick moved into the Project: Mercury compound with their two daughters, Annabelle and Jessalyn. When Belle's husband, the lead scientist, killed her and Max killed him in retaliation, Max went to prison and the Project was left unfinished. The project heads needed another genius to finish the work, so they told Jessalyn that they would bail out Max if she helped finish the new hypersuit. Right before she was to present her work to the board, they received word that Max was killed in a prison fight. Jessie's despondent mom killed herself, breaking her psyche. She donned the hypersuit herself, and used it to take revenge on everyone at the Project, then took over her city's drug trade. As Jessie Quick, she is a member of the Crime Syndicate. In the main universe, Jessie is Savitar's partner Quick.

  • The green-haired psycho-ninja and archnemesis of the Batman, who uses poisoned flowers in battle. The Joker was originally Red Jester, a member of the malicious Red Hand. He was responsible for saving the life of Hasami Kirin, who later became his acolyte Harley Quinn, and for the demonic tattoos that cover the right half of Two-Face's body. When he decided to leave Red Hand, he kidnapped Jotaru Kagehane of the Shadow Wing Clan and brainwashed him into becoming his replacement, the Red Hood. The Red Hand then exterminated the Shadow Wing Clan.

  • Sonia Sato is the daughter of Yoshio Sato, a Yakuza assassin. Tigress, a girl banished from the Goth-ahm Catclan, was taken in by Yoshido and he made her his assassin apprentice as he didn't want his daughter tainted by his work. The two girls were jealous of each other, and spied on the other's time with their shared father. When Yoshio revealed that Tigress' training was complete and that he and Sonia would be leaving and that she could take his place like she always wanted, she snapped at the idea of being abandoned again. She went to kill Sonia, and instead the blade struck Yoshio. She fled in terror and Sonia had a mental breakdown. She wound up in the support group run by Roulette and under her hypno-therapy was able to access the martial arts skills she observed her father teaching Tigress.

  • Darkseid's second son can never live up to his father's vision and be heir to his throne. He is a cruel and brutal warrior and he crushes foes daily on Warworld in hopes to gain the favor of his father.

  • Katana is the artifact spirit of a magic sword called the Soulstealer, created by Takahiro for the demon Mikaboshi. Takahiro betrayed Mikaboshi by making the Soulstealer not strong enough to steal the War God Bishamon's soul, so the demons killed the sword-maker in retaliation. In modern times, Katana and her 'brother' Tsurugi (a broadsword's spirit) were admitted to a Japanese museum where a war broke out between two factions of artifact spirits. The Key wanted Katana's power for himself, so he and his minions attacked the human patrons of the museum when she refused to marry him. An old bomb destroyed the museum and shattered the Soulstealer, causing the shrapnel to kill and steal the souls of 12 others. Katana's spirit now possesses the body of Tatsu Yamashiro, while the girl's soul is trapped in the reformed blade with the others. Able to fuse with the sword to become a more powerful figher, Katana became a hero to free the souls trapped in her own weapon. Katana later joins the Outsiders.

  • Kontar, aka Fate the Healer, is the apprentice of Nabu, an acolyte of Okuni-Nushi, God of Magic and Medicine. Centuries ago, warriors convened in Egypt to do battle for the fate of Earth; one half of the fighters sided with Espylacopa, spirit of natural destruction, and the other with Korangar, spirit of martial destruction. Such combatants in attendance included Shayera and Qatar-Ohl, Adam Marvel, Shadow Thief (emissary of the Shadow Realm), and Abracadabra (acolyte of Osihomimi, God of Dark Magic). This battle resulted in tears in space-time that poured out angels and demons unto Earth. A deck of magic cards trapped most of the combatants in them, along with Espylacopa and Korangar. The Shadow Thief escaped in modern times from his card by taking the corpse of a human; as a human, he became the creator of the popular card game Tenshu Obake Karuta, based on the magic cards Shadow Thief stole from Kendra Takagawa, now Hawkgirl.

  • A former Sunday School student of Shoki Chikamoto, Kagaiko Umenomi found her former teacher, now the demonic heroine Blue Devil, fighting the demoness Blaze in the underground Metabrawl. Kagaiko was impaled by Blaze and forced to drink her blood to survive. When Blue Devil banished Blaze back to the Hell Realms, Kagaiko becomes a tether, allowing for her eventual return to their plane. Blue Devil trains her in her new demonic powers to learn control over her overwhelming demonic urges, and assist her on her quest to banish the rest of the escapees back to Hell. Red Devil, as the young girl is now known as, joined Ravager's team of Teen Titans.

  • Onmyōji were specialists in magic. Their court responsibilities ranged from divination and protection of the capital from evil spirits. They could divine auspicious or harmful influences in the earth, and were instrumental in the moving of capitals. It is said that an onmyōji could also summon and control shikigami. A descendant of the famous Tsuchimikado Clan of Onmyōdō living in feudal Japan, Hiroshi Tsuchimikado was wrongly killed before his time during the mission of a time-displaced adventurer. As he had yet to fulfill a destiny that was preordained, he was granted leave to return to earth to carry out his task. However, on his return to the land of the living, he was spirited away by an unknown powerful force. Hiroshi wound up in one of the Hell Realms, and due to his abilities was kept captive and forced to perform in his official capacity for one of the Demon Princes for hundreds of years (by our time). Amanozako would attempt to locate and acquire this legendary onmyoji to continue her goal of freedom from her card prison and conquest of Hell. A team of Teen Titans lead by Ravager would be sent on a mission to retrieve a mysterious item of grave importance that would have them cross paths with The Wishweaver and the Onmyoji, whom they nicknamed Kid Eternity.

  • The avatar of the Demon Crocodile, who was killed by the Demon Bat. Its corpse leaked blood onto an unsuspecting fisherman, Wani Kurokaidai, who became overcome by the demon’s essence. The demon compelled the fisherman to eat victims to fuel the demon’s return. With the demon's essence, Killer Croc has massive strength along with an enormous amount of demonic energy to fuel it. His goal is to kill Batman in retribution, since he cannot take on the Demon Bat itself. The villagers near the river that was now being plagued named the creature Killer Croc. At some point Croc comes across a demon in the form of a young female child named Kawa-Akago (Baby Doll). She cries by the riverbank until she is assisted by good samaritans, and then drowns them. She and Croc are “friends”. Croc also teamed up with the Red Hood in a plan to destroy the Batclan, a plan that included the Joker.

  • Originally apprentice to Icicle, Frost was abused and raped by him. Frost soon enough stabbed him from behind with his own sword. She was keeping an eye on him the entire time she was with him, and had now seen him uses all of his techniques. She claimed the sword, as well as the title Killer Frost. She takes his bloodstained headband, along with some other articles of his armor, after scalping his ponytail and wearing it as a trophy around her waist. It is on Aqualad's Missing Master Quest, that it is discovered that she has taken the apprentice Icemaiden. She currently doesn't have an apprentice, due to Icemaiden quitting and Freeze being banished.

  • Charlie Watkins comes from an alternate future where Lord Chaos and his demon horde control Earth. Charlie was one of many human loyal to Chaos and not used as slaves. He became friends with the half-demon Carrie and joined her and two other in fighting Chaos. While they were trying to escape from Chaos' fortress, Charlie was attacked by 5 zanki, lightning demons. He killed them all but was on the brink of death. Daigo, his new partner, was forced to bound the zankis' hearts to Charlie using the painful procedure that Chaos' scientists used to create his half-demon warriors. This transformed Charlie and gave him lightning powers. As Killowat, he joined Mirage, Redbird, and Nightrider in hunting down Chaos' mother in the past.

  • When the cover of the Captains of Infamy was blown, Black Adam kidnapped Captain Atom and threatened to use him as a WMD if the wizard Xiazamm didn't surrender to him. Captain Fear betrayed the Infamous captains to aide Cpt. Marvel in rescuing their teammates from the villains. After Cpt. Atom was rescued, Black Adam hooked Calamity to the same machine Atom was hooked up to, causing the global disaster Marvel foresaw. During the final battle between the evil and good Captains, Maxwell Lord used his computer virus "Kilg%re" to infiltrate the world governments' hard-drives in order to steal all information about superhumans. After a change of heart from Black Adam, he helped Marvel and the other defeat the Evil Captains and prevent the catastrophe. Adam and Lord disappeared, Calamity and Nazi are presumed dead, and the Rogue Captains Cold and Boomerang were pardoned from their previous crimes before resuming their war against The Flash.

  • The Blue Lantern of Green Lantern Hari Juon's team of Spectrum Lanterns.

  • The ninja master O-Sensei trained 5 students: Jade Canary, Silk Snake, Bronze Tiger, Ivory Dragon, and Iron Toad. Silk Snake was restless at the lack of opportunity to use the skills he had, and started serving the LoS without his master's knowledge. Snake jumped at the opportunity to be free to carve his own path, and his mission was to assassinate O-Sensei. O-Sensei blinded his student in battle, but spared his life. Snake appeared before The Demon's Head, who gave him his freedom. Snake asked him why, to which the Head replied, "You didn't fail. With him knowing I was able to have his own student betray him, he's already dead inside!" O-Sensei disappeared after that.

  • An escapee of Apokolips, Knockout was one of the Female Furies who were Darkseid's elite death squad. They also were regular participants of the fights on Warworld just for exercise. She gets involved in the Glam Slam voluntarily in attempts to get close to Supergirl, who joined when she was having a hard time adjusting to Earth and this reminded her of her 2 years on Warworld. Knockout wanted to know how Supergirl got there and if any Agents of Apokolips were following. She later fights Superboy, and meets up with Niko Satsubatsu of the Secret Six.

  • Captain Kobalt is a Cuban citizen unwillingly recruited into the Captains of Industry. His powers are mysteriours, and possibly demonic in nature.

  • Kordax is the ancestor of Aquaman. Many years ago, he accidentally slew in combat the samurai master and grandpa of Black Manta. Since then, Manta had sworn to slay the descendants of Kordax who took up the swords of Atlantis. In an alternate universe, however, Kordax didn't slay the Sword of Dwarka, but instead forged an alliance with him and the Sword of Rhakotis to wage war on the other undersea kingdoms. The Swords violated an edict set up by Arion prior to his leaving and the mystical weapons vanished. Kordax, wishing to reclaim his power, found a water elemental monster that had attacked his city when Arion first crafted the swords. Kordax was able to draw the essence of the monster into himself, which transformed him physically. It also affected his mind and he took over as the Sea Lord, ruler of all the undersea cities and member of the Crime Syndicate (making him Aquaman's dark counterpart).

  • In the Warworld science lab that created Doomsday, another project was running to create Dogs Of War for Darkseid's army. One experiment was deemed a failure and the test subject discarded. When Superman and Darkseid battled on Warworld, the battle ended with the two combatants unable to move while a self destruct device was primed to blow. Supergirl had gotten the rest of the heroes out and into orbit far away from the blast. Superman realized he would be killed by the force of the blast, but at the last second a blur spirited him away from the explosion. He woke up on the ship Kaori had acquired from the Steel Lord's temple with the rest of his friends. His savior was a small dog that had a small broken canister with the only legible letters k-r-y-p-t-o...

  • Darkseid conquered the planet Krypton. He made the scientist adults create new weapons and made the children (exposed to yellow solar energy) into slave warriors. Darkseid made Joru-Ku create slave control collars from radioactive ore in exchange for being married the woman he wanted, Alara. Joru and Alara had a son, Kuru-Ku. Darkseid made Joru create a missile to destroy Sector 2814, using his own infant son as the catalyst. He loaded the Solar Impact Shell with a martial arts training program, and told a Green Lantern of the impending threat. The launched shell arrived safely on Earth due to the sacrifice of Green Lantern Abin Sur, and Darksied used his Omega Beams to destroy Krypton.

  • Originally called "Kryptonium" by Kryptonian scientists, this green radioactive ore is harmful to Kryptonians empowered by the rays of a yellow sun. When Darkseid launched the Solar Impact Shell at Earth's sun, he fired his Omega Beams at a kryptonium mine to set a off a chain-reaction that destroyed the planet, erasing all evidence of him breaking his treaty with Highfather of New Genesis. Several chunks of kryptonium landed on Earth, where Lionel Luthor, scientist father of Lex Luthor, renamed it "Kryptonite."

  • There are two Black Canaries in the Mangaverse. The first Black Canary (Zashiki Kurotori), is also Lady Blackhawk, matriarch of the Blackbird Clan. She was trained by the deadliest kunoichi on the planet... Jade Canary, aka Lady Shiva! When Zashiki was Red Canary, a member of the Red Hand, she was also spying on them for Onishusoku. When things got too dangerous, she begged Onishusoku to let her leave the Red Hand; he agreed, but only if she married the leader of the Blackbird Clan. A Blackbird clan member replaced her in the hand and took the name Red Talon. As Lady of the Clan, Lord Blackhawk refuses to risk his wife in the field. She therefore, plots behind the scenes. Black Canary I is also a member of the Birds of Prey, and later the Justice League. While her daughter has the Canary Cry, Canary Sr. has the Bird Call, which allows her to influence the actions of all birds who hear it.

  • The daughter of the wizard Xiazamm and a lady demon, Blaze is another one of the new recruits in the Glam Slam when Liberty Belle relocates them. She is also the one who turned Adam Marvel to evil thousands of years ago. She has a petite frame, but is wildly powerful and possesses flame abilities, as well as mystical powers. She is sadistic and gets off on the pain of others. Her twin brother Satanus is a member of the male Meta-Brawlers. Blue Devil fights her in her second meta brawl match, thinking she is one of the Hell Realm escapees she is hunting. Blue Devil is outmatched by the diminutive demoness, and forced to ingest her demonic blood during the battle. The stimulating property of the blood, and the frenzy of the close contact battle, leads to an unwanted sexual peak for Blue Devil, whose virginity is the only thing sacred she has left after becoming immersed in the world of demons.

  • Formerly known as Jade Canary, an apprentice of ninja master O-Sensei, Lady Shiva was a top assassin in the League of Shadows. She was called Canary to show how she was the first sent into hostile missions. In order to gain her freedom, she and 2 fellow assassins were each given a mission. Jade Canary's mission was to convince her apprentice, Red Canary, to infiltrate the Red Hand. Onishusoku welcomed the challenge of healthy competition with organizations run by Lady Shiva, King Snake, and Deathstroke. When she began her organization, Shiva recruited the assassin Cain, who tried to kill her and take control of her organization; the only way she could stop him was by telling him that she's pregnant with his child. He returned the day she gave birth and took the child, and their daughter grew up to be the silent warrior Hush.

  • One of Darkseid's Female Furies. Desaad had the pleasure of disciplining Lashina whenever she got out of line. She got to the point where she would violate the rules just for the exhilaration that came with the punishment. When Desaad got wind of that, he upped the punishment (which would've killed many of Apokolips' strongest warriors) to the point where she became overstimulated by the sensation of pleasure and pain and went into a coma. Upon awakening, she realized she had to constantly be in a state of discomfort to feel anything and required being pushed past her pain threshold in order to feel pleasure...unless SHE was inflicting it! As a warrior, Lashina uses electro-whips to assault and constrain her enemies.
