Me too... but Googles "+1" buttons are easier to use than FaceBook's (especially when you don't have a FB account ;)

A kind user offered me a invite, if you want to do it you have to have Google email, I can link you to the person who offered it if you want! :D

It's not clear. But Google + is different than +1.

Google+ is the new social network.

+1 is just a voting button, you don't need to be in the Google+ network to use it.

The first time you try to +1 something it asks if you want your details to be used, so it seems you need at least a gmail account.

That's kind, but no thanks. I have a gmail account so I'll stick with that for now :)

From what I understand of it they are separate systems but like all google products they are linked and if you +1 something I think it goes into your google+ activity feed just like when you "like" something on facebook. If you have web history enabled for the google account it probably also factors in to search results as it tries to further customize results based on things the user has liked, kind of like how Bing has been using friends and likes on facebook to customize its search results.

BTW, I'm all about Google+ network right now. I love this circles thing. It's taking the FB and Twitter and merged them together into a better idea. You can easily post a message to everyone -- like twitter -- or post a message just to a specific group of people you create.

Yep, I also like how it's integrated into my Gmail, which I keep open in a tab all day long. And Google+ is way way better for carrying on a conversation than Facebook is. It's like a giant message board.

Typing + automatically opens a popup to search for the user you want to reply too. I love that.
