Can someone please tell me what's going on with Alfred in this upcoming show? I mean, he's toting guns on a regular basis (yes he is the only member of the Bat Family allowed to use guns, but he's rarely on the front lines like that), he's got a full head of hair, and he just kinda looks like he belongs in a so-so James Bond film. What do you guys think?

I'm so happy at how well this thread kept going.

@SmoothJammin: I thought so, too. It'd certainly be a bit of a different angle.

@Nighthunter: Nice. I'm kinda struggling to find something positive about this New 52. Even giving Barbara her legs back has turned into

something that I wish hadn't happened, with her regressing back into Batgirl.

Definitely blue. Red is basically just his Ravager outfit, minus the different mask. Plus, I miss the compartment gauntlets that the old suit had. Much more unique that the generic Bat-gauntlets.

This is one of the things that I can't really let go of. I can take Dick's new Nightwing *cough*Ravager*cough* costume, and all the stuff that I find annoying about it, but I just don't see the partnership of Bruce and Damian to be as healthy for Damian's social development as his partnership with Dick was. I would be absolutely fine with the new dynamic duo being "Nightwing and Robin" or something along those lines because, frankly, Dick and Damian make a good team. You put Damian and Bruce together, and you have two Bruces on the same team. Not a good idea.

What do you guys think?

Do any of you guys think that Damian may have been born before the events of Arkham City? It could prove an interesting plot device for the huge development that I won't spoil on this page (you guys'll know it if you found it). What do you guys think?

The thing that I just don't understand is why she has to regress as Batgirl. Why not, for the first couple issues, she dons her old Batgirl outfit, just to get the feeling of it again, but by around the third issue she takes on a new identity? It's not gonna happen, but that would be nice. It's kinda like having this new Dick Grayson in what's basically his Ravager outfit. He was doing a good job being Damian's mentor, so why make it stop?

I smell Professor X cybernetic limbs from "Wolverine & The X-Men" animated TV show...
Those weren't cybernetic limbs. They were leg braces.
Also, I love that Barbara is getting her ability to walk back but I want to know why she is regressing to Batgirl. She could just stay with Oracle or invent something new (the name Big Sister comes to mind). Plus, if they just erase the Oracle experiences, I'm going to be extremely upset.
I'm still really hoping she gets her legs back using a Lazarus Pit and that it leads to some kind of struggle between her and Dick Grayson that results in a reaffirmation of their relationship.

According to information on the 2011 DC reboot, Richard Grayson will no longer be Gotham's Batman. If this is the case, what is to become of Damian? I would rather not have him be a Dynamic Duo with Bruce Wayne for various reasons and I found his partnership with Grayson to be a really effective one. What do you guys think?

Agree 100%. I think that she is much more interesting and useful as Oracle.
She was a good Batgirl back in the day but I agree that she achieved a new form of usefulness as Oracle. I am overjoyed that she will finally regain her ability to walk but I think she should continue to use the Oracle identity. She doesn't even need to be Batwoman in my opinion because she deserves an identity without a bat moniker in it.
