I was just poking around the wiki this morning for some reason or another and I came across a most bizarre series titles the "True Strange World of Your Dreams." I should identify myself beforehand as a person that does not put much stock in dreams. I have studied psychology and I know that the early psychoanalysts thought that there was much value in interpreting dreams. Later psychologists though have basically come to the conclusion that there is no real value aside from identifying something really obvious. This series though seemed to have the inspiration of drawing a link between the dream world and the real world. This is not such a foreign concept for comics, and I think almost every major superhero has at one time had to battle a super villain that deals with dreams in one way or another (Doctor Destiny is an example). This looks to take that to a new level though, and really the most bizarre (and to me kind of terrifying) thing on the cover is the tagline at the bottom "We will buy your dreams! (see details inside)" Certainly this means that that the publishers buys rights to the content of a person's dream providing it was interesting enough to print in one of the four issues that came out, but it sound so much more sinister than that. I don't really want to see the details inside, maybe they are offering cash for people's dreams, but maybe they have some way of extracting them that is not so pleasant. But if that were the case they would be buying nightmares as well.
