British Comic Show 16-17th Oct 2010

As some of you comicviners are based in the UK like myself, you'll have missed out of all those wonderful conventions that have been based in the US over the summer. But don't fear true believers, you'll have your chance. This is the first of two great convention right on your doorsteps, I've been planning this trip for myself for a few months now and I'm happy to try and get the word out. The convention has a host of guests and they'll not disappoint you, to be honest not the greatest turn out compared to the equivalents over the pond but I'll take what I can.

Comic Conventions in the UK

I'm massive comic book reader and have been for many years, but the one thing I truly think we miss out on in this country is conventions. America is really gorged with them, as these last few months have shown. I wanted to put out three of my favourites and one up and coming one, which I and I hope my fellow UK comicvine community members will look out for.

London Film And Comic Convention
July 17-18th 2010

2010 Guest List
Greg Rucka, Al Davison and Bill Sienkiewciz.
I went to this one and it was great for the film side but not so much for the comics. Bill Sienkiewciz dropped out about two weeks before it started, which didn't help this feeling much. But loads of comics stuff to buy as well as various film and tv items.

Who are these Joe Giella drawings of ?

I've been looking at my collection and have decided to that I need to clear some space. This where give to me in Christmas and I kept the Superman and Batman ones, but I have no interest the rest so I'm listing them on Ebay. But it would help if I knew who these two are, as that may help me sell them. If any of you know please tell me and if you want to see the others they are in my images.

Me and comics

Me and comics have been together for awhile, my first comic was bought by my dad and I still have it Adventures Of Superman 474 in 1991 when I was six and the problems started there. My dad had been a massive Superman fan and pushed his his hobby on to me, ever since then I've collected comics and have amassed a giant collection. Since then I've moved on to Spawn and Spider-Man and both because Todd McFarlane. I still collect the three S's (Superman, Spider-Man and Spawn) and sometimes a few others. This will never stop, I'm addicted and I'll take this curse to me grave.
