Just thought I'd share some good news found in the June 2013 Marvel Solicitations found here:

DAREDEVIL: DARK NIGHTS #1 (OF 8)

Lee Weeks (W/A/C)

• A gorgeous new series featuring the greatest talents in comics brings you the rest of the Man Without Fear’s story

• Legendary artist Lee Weeks returns to his favorite hero for “Angels Unaware!”

• A blizzard brings New York to a stand still -- and a young patient lies on death’s door unless Daredevil can get to him in time!

32 PGS./Rated T+…$2.99

No Caption Provided

Lee Weeks will be writing Daredevil for the first time (and drawing simultaneously for the first arc which I don't mind because his work on "Fall of the Kingpin" was good) and from the interview found here the story seems interesting enough. It looks as though DD will be getting another mini series after Bendis' End of Days wraps up. I'm glad DD is getting more attention, and if the books continue to sell well maybe that will help with the movie reboot or more spinoff series.

Ann Nocenti was good. Very controversial writer. Too bad her stuff isn't getting well received over at DC...

Because no one can keep up.

But I would've liked it if they kept Echo around longer as somewhat of a pseudo-sidekick or more like a partner. I think they would've made a great duo.

The "definitive" Daredevil artist for me has got to be Maleev. It's so moody and sleek looking to me, I love it. Colan is good too, and so is Lark. Hell, I'm even enjoying Samnee during this current run and I also wouldn't have minded if Allred continued for more than one issue.

Confession time though: never been huge on John Romita Jr.'s art. I tolerated it during the better stories like "The Man Without Fear" but to me his art has just been on a steady decline throughout the years (seriously it's getting worse just look at the current Captain America run). Oh, and Quesada's art is meh to me as well.

they would all be interesting choices at this point except for maybe young bobby, to be honest. if he left to join cyke's crew it would like meh, whatever... but whoever it is there's a lot of interesting things bendis can do here.

@Veshark said:

I guess it's safe to assume that he has some limited knowledge on it, based on his encounters with the supernatural and with magic-users like Zatanna. He keeps files on everything, so it's not entirely unbelievable that he can grasp the basics of magic.

But I guess that the general idea is that Batman's crime-fighting technique works fine for him. He might rely on magic if the situation calls for it (Nth metal to handle a ghost, for instance), but I think for the most part he trusts his fists and mind more. Same principle for Green Arrow and guns.

Also if he did, he'd be OPed as hell.

Also, don't you have to either have access to a magical artifact, be a homo magi, or be some sort of magical being in order to use paranormal powers in the DCU? There might be exceptions on this count though....Constantine, for instance.

yeah Constantine is my only example as far as someone being somewhat self-taught which is why I felt Batman could learn magic. But to be honest, after trying to do a little research, I'm not entirely certain on any magic user's background in the DCU. For example, I don't know how Zatanna got powers.
