Aunt May is going to be Hot!!! (MCU topic)

Marisa Tomei is currently undergoing talks with Columbia/ Marvel Studios to play Aunt May in the new Spider-Man movie. Rosemary Harris has been the best Aunt May so far and Sally Field was an okay Aunt May for me. We will just have to wait and see if Marisa is up to par. I wonder who will be Marisa's Uncle Ben.

Yellowjacket's death in Ant-Man (MCU topic)

I was just thinking to myself the other day how comical and awesome would it be if Yellowjacket got smashed by a newspaper or a fly swatter. If Starlord can save an entire world from annihilation by distracting Ronan with a dance off then why not this. Here's how I would set it up: Yellowjacket and Ant-Man are still small. Their final confrontation takes place in a bar. Yellowjacket is about to deliver the fatal blow to Ant-Man then a newspaper comes crushing down on Yellowjacket. Scott looks at Cross' smashed, lifeless body and looks up to notice the bartender (Stan "The Man" Lee) was the one who saved Ant-Man.

Is there any future for the FF reboot?

Some users like my friend CCraft remain optimistic about movies that everyone else would consider to be an eventual failure. I personally want the Fantastic Four reboot to fail so Marvel Studios can buy back the rights and we can have a new team to cheer for since the original Avengers will be splitting up after RDJ leaves. However, if the Fantastic Four reboot succeeds, the impending sequel has already been given a release date for 2017. So what can we expect from the sequel:

Fantastic Four reboot 2: The Negative Zone is explored even more and the team runs into the Red Ghost, a former Cosmonaut who got trapped in the N-Zone while contending with Blastaar and Annihilus' Annihilation Wave. The Annihilation Wave has already destroyed the Skrull Empire but one surviving Skrull intends to steal the team's powers in order to destroy Annihilus.

As a side note, it has been established that the team is transformed during their initial travel to the N-Zone but there has been no implication of Annihilus or Blastaar making an appearance in the reboot.

Fantastic Four reboot 3: Reed and Sue are getting married. Dr. Doom returns from the dead by making a deal with the devil who happens to be named Diablo, who can transform into a Dragon Man. At the same time, Dr. Elder has become the Mole Man and is working with Prince Namor. Namor intends to destroy the surface world with Mole Man's Moloids.

Fantastic Four reboot 4: Reed's father Nathaniel Richards has returned but he intends to conquer the present to ensure his future. At one time, Nathaniel was regarded by colleagues as the Mad Thinker because of his idea about time travel but now he has become Kang the Conqueror. Nathaniel enlists the aid of three other individuals to help him defeat the Fantastic Four. With the Wizard, Trapster and the Puppet Master in his court, Kang the Conqueror has his Frightful Four.

Emma Stone for Captain Marvel (MCU)

Many of us are aware that Sony is doing another Spider-Man reboot but this time with Marvel Studios' supervision and some nobody kid has been chosen to be the new Spider-Man. More than likely, they will find a new girl to play Gwen Stacy as well. A lot of movie goers loved Emma Stone's adaption of Gwen Stacy and I think a lot of people would love to see Emma take on a new role in the MCU.

If Emma Stone was considered for Captain Marvel, she would be a keen choice. Only thing she would have to do is buff up a little bit and look well toned in her Captain Marvel suit. Some people would say that it would be too confusing of a casting call but Chris Evans made Johnny Storm and Captain America work. Emma can do the same thing.

The cast for Captain Marvel

Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel: Emma Stone

Bruce Banner aka Hulk: Mark Ruffalo

Betty Ross: Liv Tyler

Dr. Samuel Sterns aka Leader the Supreme Intelligence: Jeffrey Combs

Rick Jones: Andrew Garfield

Dr. Leonard Samson: Clive Owen

Dr. Walter Larson aka Mar-Vell: Michael Biehn

General Bridges aka Yon-Rogg: Jeff Fahey

Dr. Minerva aka Una-Rogg: Sigourney Weaver

Zey-Rogg aka Sentry 459: Lou Ferrigno (Original Hulk)

Check out my blog about the prologue for Captain Marvel to better understand my casting call. It has some hints of Planet Hulk since Marvel Studios is pretty sure that they aren't going to pursue anymore Hulk movies.

Prologue for Captain Marvel (MCU topic)

Bruce Banner has willingly surrendered to the United States government and has secretly agreed to subject himself to interplanetary expulsion. The government's satellites have pinpointed a habitable planet for Bruce and the Hulk to thrive on. Bruce can longer allow himself to become a target for experimentation or allow the Hulk's incredible power to be replicated.

Before his departure, Bruce is escorted to his shuttle by NASA officer Carol Danvers and greeted by his college buddy Rick Jones. Bruce makes his final goodbyes and preps for the launch. Just as the shuttle was about to launch, a large robot falls from the sky. Captain Mar-Vell who is under human disguise, recognizes the robot as a Kree Sentry. The Kree are coming which means the Inhumans' extinction.

Other plot lines

  1. General Bridges who is charge of operations at Cape Canaveral is actually Yon-Rogg, Mar-Vell's superior officer.
  2. Yon-Rogg changed the Hulk's shuttle trajectory for Hala, the Kree homeworld.
  3. Yon-Rogg intends for the Hulk to go mad and destroy the established order on Hala so that Yon-Rogg can bring about a new world order under his command.
  4. Yon-Rogg and his daughter Una-Rogg (Dr. Minerva) have developed a Nega Bomb which will either cancel out the Inhumans' powers or kill them.
  5. The Kree Sentry that crash landed in Cape Canaveral is a Kree cyborg who was once Zey-Rogg, Yon-Rogg's son.
  6. Zey-Rogg was programmed to find the Inhumans' stronghold
  7. Nitro has a mini Nega Bomb installed inside of him just in case the other Nega bomb is deactivated.
  8. Yon-Rogg and Una-Rogg had a silent partner in developing the Nega Bomb...Dr. Samuel Sterns aka Leader the Supreme Intelligence.

Arkham Knight finally revealed !!!

It seemed obvious to some of my fellow users as well as myself that the Arkham Knight was actually Jason Todd in disguise. At the same time, it was a bit anti-climatic and unnecessary. Creators of Rocksteady try to pump us up by having us think that Arkham Knight is a brand new character when actuality, he is just a new persona for Jason Todd. I haven't read all the details on what exactly is Jason's motivation to attack Batman in Arkham Knight especially if the Joker is dead and Batman was inadvertently responsible for his death.

I would think Jason would be glad that Batman finally brought an end to the Joker but at the same time, I suppose Jason feels he would make a better Batman than Bruce because he is willing to cross the line that Bruce won't. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping the Arkham Knight would be Damian Wayne who was rapidly aged through genetic engineering. I'm curious if the New 52 Red Hood will eventually adopt the Arkham Knight persona and ditch Arsenal (Red Arrow) in the mainstream comics.

On a side note, Hush is yet again a side mission villain along with Professor Pyg, Man-Bat, Deacon Blackfire, Black Mask and Firefly. Still no Maxie Zeus which is very disappointing. I can only hope WB Montreal will develop another Arkham chapter that comes after Origins. Maybe this time, players can use the Batwing to take on foes like Killer Moth and Maxie Zeus who rides an awesome airship.

I know players like myself will want the Arkham saga to continue. Its a pity that Rocksteady is calling it quits like Christopher Nolan did with the Batman trilogy. Why is it that artists just want to throw in the towel when they have a product that sells. Cartoonists, movie makers and video game designers' sole purpose is to give the people what they want again and again especially if its a profitable commodity.

The Mandarin in Ant-Man? (MCU topic)

Awhile back I had wrote a blog about Jason Todd being played by an unknown actor in the upcoming Batman v Superman movie. My source was from IMDb. Amazingly enough, after the posting of my blog, that speculation was taken off the IMDb page for Batman v Superman. Yet again, a stirring casting call has caught my eye for the soon to be released Ant-Man.

If anyone remembers Iron Man 2 or the Marvel short "All Hail the King", the Ten Rings has a worldwide network with several agents across the globe. As it turns out, actor Rod Hallett will be playing a Ten Rings member in Ant-Man. Is it possible that Peyton Reed has plans to make the Mandarin, an arch-nemesis for Ant-Man. I think that would actually be pretty cool.

No Caption Provided

At the end of the Ant-Man movie, they could imply that Rod Hallett approaches Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and tells him that his employer (Mandarin) is a jeweler who recently had some valuable merchandise stolen from him and he needs a thief to steal it back. Can u imagine an Ant-Man sequel where Scott Lang must take on criminals who have been given super powers by the Mandarin rings? If that is the case, I would definitely want the Ant-Man movie to be a success just so I can see the sequel. I'm still hopeful that Ant-Man will take on Ultron at some point in time.

Can the Hulk be in Captain Marvel (MCU)?

Carol Danvers is perhaps the most famous Captain Marvel of them all. There have been a few others of course like the original Kree soldier Mar-Vell and Rick Jones, Bruce Banner's sidekick. Rick Jones was originally the sole reason why Bruce Banner accidently became the Hulk. As we all know, Bruce's origin has slightly changed in the MCU. Bruce and Rick are university colleagues but Rick never made an appearance in the Incredible Hulk.

This Captain Marvel movie would be a great opportunity to introduce Rick Jones as a supporting character as well as the Hulk and maybe even the Inhumans. Another good reason would be to merge two villains into a bigger threat. The Supreme Intelligence is the undisputed leader of the Kree but at the same time, the Leader is by far the most intelligent being on Earth who for some reason is unable to kill the Hulk.

The writers for Captain Marvel could imply that Dr. Sterns' mutation has caused his cranium to grow to incredible lengths and his body is unable to support him. Sterns steals an apparatus from AIM called the Mobile Omni Digital Organic Computer. MODOC severs Sterns' head from his body but the device comes equipped with mechanical limbs. Sterns then adopts a new persona as Leader the Supreme Intelligence.

If Captain Marvel becomes a box office success with the possibility of sequels, perhaps Rick Jones can take on the mantle of Captain Marvel at one point. At the same time, if the Inhumans play a major role in Carol Danvers' life then she could later be personified as the Joan of Arc for the Inhumans. Carol could fight for the Inhumans' freedom and survival since the Kree want the Inhumans dead plus the Kree may consider Carol as a perversion of their beloved Captain Mar-Vell.

Adam Warlock in Dr. Strange

Its a pretty good bet that Adam Warlock will make his debut in Dr. Strange and the Soul Gem will be main focus other than Dr. Strange's ascension to Sorcerer Supreme. I remember reading an article on Superhero Hype way back where James Gunn elaborated on which characters he would be using for the GOTG sequel and Adam Warlock wouldn't be included even though his cocoon was introduced in Thor Dark World and GOTG.

The best way to introduce Adam Warlock would be him crash landing in the middle of NY just as Dr. Strange was leaving the hospital. Adam's abrupt arrival causes the car accident that maims Dr. Strange. Strange is pinned in his car but he witnesses the arrival of the Black Knight and followers of the Ancient One. The Black Knight was sent by the Church of Universal Truth in order to obtain the Soul Gem. The followers rescue Adam from the Black Knight and quickly vanish.

The Ancient One later questions Adam about how or why he arrived on Earth. Adam replies that he has been kept in a lethargic state for most of his life but he did recall conversations during his incubation. He remembers someone named Brother Tremont who found the remains of Ayesha, the first Sorceress Supreme. Brother Tremont commissioned a team of scientists called the Enclave to recreate Ayesha and design a mate for her in order to initiate a new species of mankind.

Adam eventually learned that the Church and the Enclave were intending to commit a global wide genocide by using the Soul Gem. Adam awoke from his sedation and stole the Soul Gem. The gem's power overwhelmed Adam and he fell into a transporter that was based off the design specs of the Tessaract. Adam and the Soul Gem become encased in a cocoon and transported across the galaxy.

The Collector procures the cocoon but he doesn't realize the an Infinity Stone is inside. Adam then remembers a conversation between a group of people (GOTG) and the Collector. One of the people was insulted by the Collector when he was called someone else's pet (Rocket Raccoon). The Collector then talks about the Infinity Stones and Adam realizes that the Soul Gem is an Infinity Stone but then he hears a woman's cries for freedom (Carina, the Collector's assistant).

Adam remembers this woman's voice as someone who had a gentle soul who would care for the Collector's exhibits but he also felt sorrow in her tone. The next thing Adam remembers is the woman's ear splitting screams are silenced by an explosive flash of light ruptures the cocoon. Adam tries to gather himself after the explosion but a voice calls out to him and the Soul Gem begins to glow. The gem sends Adam back to Earth in an emerald fireball.

The Ancient One asks Wanda Maximoff to find lodgings for Adam while he and Wong speak. The Ancient One fears that Dormammu may know of the Soul Gem's presence and he maybe the force behind Adam's arrival on Earth. The gem that now sits on Adam's brow will be the prize that everyone will be hunting for. The Ancient One fears that he may not be up to task of defeating Dormammu. Wong suggests a human that witnessed Adam's rescue who was able to see past their shroud spell. Wanda reaffirms Wong's idea by saying Dr. Stephen Strange has potential that he isn't aware of.

Who will be the 12 (X-Men: Apocalypse)?

Preliminary shooting for X-Men: Apocalypse has already begun but I'm curious if Bryan Singer will follow the Twelve story line in order to give Apocalypse a goal throughout the movie. The original Twelve won't be included in this final chapter for X-Men but one can infer with the present cast, which mutants Apocalypse would find favorable. At the same time, Apocalypse may want to prevent the birth of his future mortal enemy...Cable. Cyclops and Jean Grey would probably be the first two of the Twelve.

  1. Cyclops (Discharging energy & prevent the birth of Cable)
  2. Jean Grey (Telekinesis & prevent the birth of Cable)
  3. Prof. X (Telepathy)
  4. Storm (Weather Control)
  5. Nightcrawler (Teleportation)
  6. Past Magneto (Magnetism)
  7. Mystique (Transformation)
  8. Quicksilver (Lightning fast reflexes and agility)
  9. ?
  10. ?
  11. ?
  12. ?

This only leaves room for four more candidates that Apocalypse will need in order to make him the ultimate mutant. Psylocke, Jubilee and Havok will be the only X-Men left to stand up to Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen. While we are on the subject, who would Apocalypse choose to be his Horsemen?

  1. Archangel (Death)
  2. Future Magento (War)
  3. Caliban (Famine)
  4. Dark Beast (Pestilence)
