Two-Face (Spoiler Alert)

No Caption Provided

Two-Face's troubled soul can now rest in peace. If u read the latest issue of Batman and Robin: Two-Face is denied the chance to exact his vengeance on Erin McKillen who was responsible for the death of Gilda Dent. In the end, Two-Face flips his coin to decide whether or not to live on and exact his own brand of justice. I'm sure u can guess which side of the coin landed. The story within itself made me feel unresolved emotions.

McKillen should have died since she no longer serves a purpose in either Bruce's ongoing story or Harvey's but due to Bruce's feelings for her and her assistance in helping Bruce find his parents' murderer, she was placed back in Gotham PD custody. Bruce and Harvey have this meaningful discussion but at the wrong time. Bullets are flying everywhere and the whole room is ablaze yet Bruce still engages in a heart to heart chat with Harvey.

Two-Face/ Harvey had long suspected that Batman and Bruce Wayne are the same man and he mentions it during the gunfight at the courthouse. In a way it made sense for Harvey to die because his Two-Face personality is far too dangerous and unpredictable plus the character had a good run in DC mainstream. Perhaps the Charlatan can fill in for Two-Face if readers begin to miss Harvey. Also this turn of events works out with Batman Beyond because Bruce reports to Terry during Hush Beyond that Two-Face hasn't been seen for decades. I guess we can assume that no one ever found Two-Face's body. I always envisioned Harvey's face repaired and he becomes a judge of the future which would explain Bruce Timm's vision of Judge Dent.

Eisenberg/ Luthor equals Topher/ Venom disaster

I'm glad a lot of users agree that Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is a really bad idea. I mean do we have to relive the same travesty as Topher Grace being Venom all over again. We can only hope that Eisenberg is playing a younger version of Lex Luthor in Smallville.

As for Jeremy Irons, I suppose he can play a MI-6 version of Alfred but I think Irons could be better served playing a villain like Anton Arcane for Swamp Thing. Still no word on who Joaquim Phoenix is going to play. If Snyder wants to do this movie justice, he better cast Phoenix as the Joker. I have to admit Snyder's casting calls surprise me each time and that's usually not a good thing. Comic book movie casting calls should be logical and sorry to say "predictable"

Batman vs Superman casting call

Its about time if u ask anyone including myself plus this will serve as a great precursor to the Justice League film. Its Superman's stamina to influence and motivate that brings the team together and its Batman's resources that makes the Justice League a force that no villain will want to reckon with. I just hope Lex Luthor who is already confirmed for the movie will be teaming up with the Joker.

The only question is who will step up to the plate for three title roles. In my opinion, I think its time to resurrect Billy Zane's career and cast him as Lex Luthor. He could pull it off without breaking a sweat plus he plays suave and evil pretty well. As for Batman, some suggested Armie Hammer to play the Dark Knight and after watching the Lone Ranger (which wasn't that bad despite what critics or movie goers have said), I think he might be able to pull it off without having to use the whole deep voice thing like Bale.

Sorry to say, Bale said he wouldn't return as Batman unless Nolan was directing Superman vs Batman. All the same that's fine by me. Nolan can go his way and DC can its own way. Now the Joker, everyone keeps saying no one can match Ledger's performance. I'm sorry but if u watch the Dark Knight or the 1989 Batman long enough, anyone can play Joker and make it look genuine. As for who could play Joker, I think Tom Hiddleston aka Loki or Robert Downey Jr. could pull it off. They just need to master a convincing laugh. Nicholson's and Mark Hamill's Joker laugh were by far the greatest. What do u think?

As a side note, I really hope they ditch the Enchanted chick as Lois Lane and get somebody else. U need someone sexy and tenacious to play Lois. There are plenty of choices. Plus why did they make Jimmy Olsen a chick. Supergirl needs someone to flirt with who is down to Earth.

Arkham Origins will definitely meet expectations

The WB Montreal designers mentioned that in the side missions, u can play as villains. The villains mentioned were Firefly and Electrocutioner. I think the game designers will lean away from other assassins like Cheshire or Merlyn and stick to the primary Batman rogues. Deathstroke is the only exception because he is primarily a Nigthwing rogue as well as the Teen Titans arch nemesis. People just really want to see Deathstroke and Batman cut loose.

The crime lords like Penguin, Black Mask, Carmine Falcone and Sal Maroni must be working together to hire these assassins. Hopefully, they will bring in the Great White Shark, Maxie Zeus, Ventriloquist and Scarface into the mix of mob bosses. With the Falcones bringing brought into this game, I would be willing to bet that Calendar Man, Harvey Dent (before becoming Two-Face) and Catwoman will return for this game.

Ra's al Ghul will probably appear as the facilitator of the League of Assassins along with the Sensei, Nyssa Raatko, Talia al Ghul, White Ghost and Ubu. I bring up Ra's al Ghul because for one thing it makes sense to introduce him in this particular story plus his corpse was seen at Arkham Asylum before it vanished. Its possible that Nyssa Raatko kills Ra's at the end of this Origins game.

Five out of the 8 assassins/ hitmen have been confirmed for the game: Deathstroke, Deadshot, Firefly, Electrocutioner & Alberto Falcone. The remaining three may be filled by the following: Lady Shiva, David Cain, Sofia Falcone-Gigante, KGBeast, NVKDemon, Silver Monkey or Lock-Up (Bolton might be used as an addition to the Blackgate mission that takes place after Arkham Origins). There is the possibility that Bane maybe one of the eight assassins but I understand that would throw off the chronological order of things. Then again video games are never really that good at following a timeline. If Bane does come back, I hope they will give him a more conservative look like in the Dark Knight Rises.

If this is Batman's younger years, Henri Ducard might also make an appearance. I'm really looking forward to this game. I don't think it will disappoint at all. The only thing I wish they would change is the setting. I mean X-Mas with assassins? The snowy atmosphere was already done with Arkham City. I guess we will have to wait and see how the designers will produce an epic sequel to Arkham City. I mean with Hush and Azrael's prophecy. It can only mean one thing...Hell is coming to Gotham. Simon Hurt, the Black Glove, and the Court of Owls will definitely be great additions to the closing chapter of the Arkham Series.

The Future of Damian is Beyond Us

First of all, I apologize for my rude candor regarding Nolan's vision of Batman and his possible involvement with future DC films (which I hope doesn't happen but anyway). Some users have been wondering about the fate of Damian Wayne in the future. As a Batman Beyond fanatic, I think this turn of events will be good because Damian Wayne is a conflicted anti-hero like Jason Todd. Its too bad that the Hush Beyond story arc involved a clone of Dick Grayson posing as the new Hush. It would have made a bigger impact if Damian was the one locked up in Cadmus Labs after having Gotham wired to explode in Batman 666. Hush Beyond would go on and on about calling Terry McGinnis a pretender of the real Batman like the mantle of the Batman should have fallen to him or should be returned to him. The whole issue about Damian and Connor Kent all grown up and replacing Batman and Superman was kind of a good idea but the chronology was off for me and akward because Damian was training Terry instead of Bruce. Terry McGinnis' parents would be the same age as Damian right now and having Terry trained by Damian who would be no older than his own father in the future, would be redundant. That kind of takes away from the bond of old Batman sharing his war stories with the younger, inexperienced Batman of the future.

Anyhow, if the Red Hood could turn Batman's world upside down, imagine what Batman's own son could do. People will be glad to see Damian's old sadistic self resurrected by the Lazarus Pits (any other form of resurrection would probably be viewed as unoriginal like cloning or another reality altering event which I think all of us are getting tired of). I just fear the worst for Tim Drake because Damian has always had it in for him. Jason will probably want to eliminate Damian since neither one cares for one another. Dick and Bruce would be the only targets that Damian would have a tough time trying to kill. True, Damian didn't leave this world on bitter terms with his father or surrogate brother but it would make for a great story arc if Damian becomes a villain. What do you think?

We must keep Nolan's limey hands off other DC film franchises

I had just read G-Man's article about the recent rumors circulating around Justice League movie and other DC films. Once again, another article praises the supposedly great and powerful Christoper Nolan. I thought all this star f@#$%king for that limey brit was over the moment Dark Knight Rises left the theaters. Nolan's time with DC is done. If u keep that wanker involved with DC, I guarantee u won't see a majority of ur favorite rogues or heroes anytime soon. I mean now that Talia is dead, all the Damian Wayne fans will never get to see their favorite yet sadistic Robin come to the silver screen. We must stand up against all Nolan worshiping toadies and the evil that is Nolan and say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!" Whose with me?

Pros and Cons of Dark Knight Rises

Pros: Having Venom as a pain killing agent rather than a steroid maybe realistic but it works. If Bane needs Venom to withstand the injuries he has then it would be understandable if this same narcotic can be used to help Bane in taking punishment from any opponent. I like the idea of Bane being calculating powerhouse who doesn't really have much of an Achilles heal rather than an addict who needs Venom to give him a superficial victory. Having the Lazarus Pit as a metaphor rather an actual pool of rejuvenation. I can kinda of see that. When you enter the pit as a prisoner you are condemned to your own personal hell like a demon however, how you choose to leave that pit can mean your rebirth as something better than your former self or something worse.

There is now a possibility of a Nightwing movie and the eventual return of the Gordon family tree like the deranged James Gordon Jr. and Barbara Gordon (Batgirl). Bane was a kick ass revamp that surpassed his comic book character as well as the 90's film version. I also like how Bane integrated Ubu's duties as Talia's protector during her time in the pit. Perosnally, I would have also bonded Bane's character with Dusan al Ghul because even though Ra's saw Bane as Batman's physical superior, he was disgusted by Bane's savagery and Ra's had nothing but distaste for his albino son.

Cons: Batman/ Bruce Wayne was made to be completely human which is a total reversal of what Batman is and what Ra's tried to teach Bruce. Ra's told Bruce that he become something untouchable and uncorruptible...a legend. Sure Bane's punishment reminds Bruce that he is a man and can be broken but he is resilient so how can Bruce take an eight year exile as the Batman because of the guilt he had over Harvey Dent. I mean Gordon's ending quote from Dark Knight was epic. It made me anxious to see what Batman will do next and who he will fight. Instead what do I get, he hangs up the cape and cowl and stays out of the game, gets his ass beat, makes a comeback then he forfeits everything he built. What the hell!!! Superman is the only wuss who takes time off from the superhero gig to find himself and sometimes he is gone for years at a time. Not Batman

Robin's origin has done a complete 360. His parents died separately under different circumstances, "the mystique" behind Haly's Circus is taken away and the name itself is not even any of the Robins. The ending was almost like Indiana Jones 4 where the torch was prematurely handed down to someone who is inexperienced. Bane's voice was still non-audible. He sounded like Sean Connery in a half ass Darth Vader mask. Only the subtitles on the blu-ray edition will do Bane's monologue justice.

Talia's character was incredibly flawed. Talia was always the loving daughter who was torn between by her pity for her father's destructive nature and the love she had for Batman. She had issues with her father no doubt but not on the same level as his her half sister Nyssa Raatko. Nyssa hated Ra's for the hell he put her in and would have been glad that he was killed so she could take his place as the head of the demon. Talia's character should have been integrated with Selina Kyle's. It would have made sense. The daughter who refused to follow her father's draconian methods of peace keeping chooses self exile but at the same time she can't allow herself to be discovered by the League or by her jealous sister so she adopts a new identity. Talia/Catwoman lives among the women of East End and decides the best way to readdress the balance in Gotham is by stealing from the rich and corrupt and give back to the poor in the hopes of establishing a middle ground between the rich and poor. Marion's Talia would have been the perfect Nyssa because she is a great manipulator and she wanted to surpass her father's crusade.

On a personal note: I know the Nolan loyalists or as I like to call them "toadies or boot lickers" on Comicvine will have something to say about my negative remarks about Nolan's vision of Batman so save your breath because I am not alone when I say "I don't worship the ground that Nolan touches." This guy may have revamped our interest in Batman but he dropped the ball completely for DC films. He had the potential to kick start not only the Justice League but other heroes we know and love from DC instead he clings to a realistic version of Batman which isn't completely possible and then leaves the trilogy with an unrealistic ending. After seeing the end of Dark Knight Rises, I had hoped this was all some bad dream or a fabrication brought upon by Mad Hatter's hypnotic inception skills.

We could have had a Justice League movie way before Marvel started the Avengers Initiative. Look at where DC is compared to Marvel. Green Lantern sucked but some things about it are salvageable. Jonah Hex stunk. Superman Returns sucked even though Kevin Spacey was the best Luthor thus far next to Clancy Brown and we are no closer to getting a Wonder Woman, Flash or Aquaman film off the ground. All because Nolan and his fans were so in depth with the realistic view of Batman. Because of these fools, we will have to wait for another reboot of Batman and the expectations will be set even higher and if one ridiculous expectation is not met then there will be no one to fill in the seats at the theaters. I ask that all non Nolan loyalists to stand up and let your voice be heard. We demand that DC take its rightful place as the front runner for great comic book movies and not allow the narrow minded views of any visionary to tarnish the legends of DC.

DC new 52 titles that should be cancelled

As you well know DC is bringing down the ax on more titles. I actually think if we cut more titles then we can see more team ups which everyone seems to enjoy rather solo acts. Here is a list of titles that should be cancelled and why. Before I begin this list I think some of you will agree that majority of these new upstart villains like Doctor Cognate (Green Arrow) or Suzie Su (Red Hood) are petty creations and aren't worth the ink their printed on. Bring back the old villains in a new way.

Birds of Prey: Old villains like Calculator or Cheshire need to be brought back into the mix or end the series. For five issues, the Birds were going toe to toe with a group called Chokers. I mean come on. As soon as Batman or Wonder Woman got started with their first issues, interest was already peaked.

Deathstroke: The Deathstroke series is like the Lobo series. One of our favorite villains but the stories aren't that good. Instead of going facing off with some of our greatest heroes, Slade is going up against petty marks or wannabee mercenaries.

Captain Atom: The series is getting way too 2001 Space Odyssey weird and I actually understood Space Odyssey after seeing the sequel 2010. With Captain Atom, I have no idea where its going.

Fury of Firestorm: Is just like Captain Atom, not weird but not going anywhere either. Now we have several Firestorm posers walking around claiming to be the Firestorm of the East, West and South or some kind of distinction like that.

Green Arrow: I'm reaching that point where they should cancel it as well because the villains and stories he is mixed up with aren't all that thrilling. There was this one new villain from Blue Beetle called Stopwatch. Why couldn't they take his features and perhaps his origin and mixed in with the Clock King or Chronos (even though Chronos is an Atom villain).

Red Hood and the Outlaws: Aside from Starfire's personality and smoking body, the series should end. All we have gotten so far is a Starfire villain who has a personal grudge against Tamaranians which may have been interesting if Blackfire or a whole armada was involved. Red Hood should go back to being an anti-hero who clashes with his fellow teammates and Starfire and Red Arrow need to rejoin the Teen Titans.

The Green Lantern series with just John Stewart and Guy Gardner: This series needs to end because from I where stand it has no correlation with what is happening with Hal Jordan or Kyle Rayner. Take those characters merge them with the current storyline and put this terrible series behind us.

The Red Lanterns: This series is like Deathstroke, villains we love but not their stories. The only interesting developments in this series is the sudden return of Atrocitus' son and Krona's corpse has disappeared. They could have taken these peculiar events and merged them with one of the ongoing Green Lantern series.

As for Flash and the Superman family series: I don't know in some areas I find the storylines slow or redundant. Why did Flash go up against a lame villain like Mob Rule for five issues. Only now do we have recurring villains that we remember and have sparked our interest in the comic. As for Superman was is it really necessary to alter his origin again or Supergirl's and why aren't they duking it out with the original baddies more often. All I have seen our groups of vile elementals and something called World Killers who have a grudge with Superman or Supergirl because they are Kryptonian or because they are on Earth.

Demon Knights, Justice League Dark, Aquaman and Batwing: These are other series that I am unsure of and feel they are not going anywhere.

I look forward to your input fellow users.

Legend of Korra is awesome

I like the transition from Aang to Korra. The setting of Republic City kinda has a film noir mystique about it. Things are kinda of set like the America during the early 1900's where crime was rampant and the industry was somewhat booming. Korra is like the Wonder Woman of China but a bit more peppy. Toph's daughter doesn't like the Avatar's presence in Republic City but that might be the pride talking. Aang's son Tenzin is a cool character and his family is fun to watch except for his son who seems to have a few screw looses missing. Its a pity that none of the original young characters could live for the 2nd season. I only saw Katara. Sokka is apparently dead but I'm sure he had a daughter with Suki and she became the new leader of the Kyoshi Warriors. This Amon guy is a real bad ass. He knows Aang's move to cancel out someone's bending chi forever. Something tells me that Amon was a disgraced student of Aang's and his anti-bending movement is all a front for his revenge plot. Korra falls for a guy named Mako (homage to the great Mako who voiced Uncle Iroh). Mako has feelings for Korra but now he has fallen in love with this really hot and sweet rich girl. She doesn't seem like your typical rich girl who wants to change her man so he can fit in with higher society. She is actually very considerate and loving. I just hope she is not too good to be true. Mako also has an upbeat brother named Boalin but he is kinda in the friend zone with Korra. I wish him the best of luck. If there are any Avatar fans out there, I look forward to your views.
