Go read "Annihilation" and form you own opinions. Astro's "No really...no" is total B.S. There's dozens of awesome characters in those books, and I'm sure everyone (besides the snarkiest of the snarky comic book nerds) can find something to enjoy. 
 
Honestly, it opened-up an entire new Universe (pun not intended) for me as a Marvel fan; I was always speculative about the cosmic characters before, but after reading "Annihilation" and "Conquest", I was a fan for life...As you can probably tell from my amazing Groot Action Figure avatar! Hahaha...

Green Goblin's second costume is Hobgoblin, but other than that, everyone retains their identity; they just have a different costume.
 
Besides the obvious "Ultimate" versions that the X-Men and FF have, the others have costumes that were designed by the people who made the game, much like their default costumes. Spider-Man's is the "Iron Spider" costume though, which rocks. It's actually pretty disappointing, but I'm sure they'll make new ones we can download in the future. For more money, naturally.
