@arinya:

I agree with you. Part of what you are saying may be because he is basing his art on a loose story I believe he came up with. Not sure if he actually wrote it down or just conceptualized it in his head but when you do so without editing the written form you can tend to add more panels and the impact may not come off as strong. I think your wording was well structured for a critique. :)

I really liked what he has so far in mood using shadows very well. His style rocks! His inked version really pops and his colors are great on another post he had so Kudos @jaimevalle!

He's not as frequent anymore so it might have slipped his mind to check on this. Sometimes life has other priorities and hes dealing with that at the moment.

Good luck to you man, you are on the right track.

Everyone has the right to choose the path that they feel is best for themselves. A starving artist need not be in our day and age but its about the choices we decide to make.

Good luck on your journey.

Finding work for Marvel or DC is not only about what you wrote above.

The exposure is the main reason you do so, the fact that it goes on your resume is another of many reasons.

If you become a hit, it opens doors that you would have to work much harder to find and crack open, other companies are more receptive to hiring you because of it. Its about the satisfaction to be able to say you had your hand in drawing what only few get a chance to do, to say you were able to do what you wanted to since you were a kid...

...Then you are free, free to do whatever you want to do creatively. It's always in the way you look at it. If you want to see if you can break in with the Big 2, don't let your dreams be detoured.

Keep your eyes open and keep learning, learning about your art and about this business which is comic books.

We may be artists but this is a business. Too many of us forget that and only focus on the creative side.
