Europian stuff

Comics are great...Love it since I was a littler boy :) But living In holland there are some other stuff than just comics.
Well the dutch word for it is "strip" but lets just call it European comics :). Most of those titles comes from France and Belgium. Holland has some titles but most of them kinda ...sucks.

Some the titles I'm reading are;
- Sambre, from artist;  Yslaire
- Search for the timebird, written by Regis Loisel and drawned ( the recent issues ) by Mohammed Aouamri
- Peter Pan by Regis Loisel  (you'll never look at peter pan the same after this cyclus :) )
- Murena by Delaby
- Silver moon on Providence by Herenguel
-Blacksad by Juanjo Guarnido

Are there some guys here who know them? What do you guys think about european comics compared to american comics. Do you like it?
 And if you read them what titles do you read ?

Let me hear
Greetingzz,
Ralf van der Hoeven

European comic books are hit and miss here in America. I know that Heavy Metal magazine, has always featured comics and strips from different artists all over the world. Some are quite good but only a smaller portion of people get into them at all. Thanks for sharing your information about these comics you know. Maybe they can be found here in the United States of America, I don't know.

yeah I know them
I love storm also. Romano Molenaar and Jorg de Vos does an incredible work in it. Jorg also writes a story for me. really fun :)

But only more populair doesn't mean they are better. European art is on higher plain because the artists get more time for an issue. In France its considered an art form. (Like a picasso or stuff).
But then again its also in the eye of the beholder.
