Isn't the Batman symbol on his shirt just there because that's the outfit he happened to have found on Kori's ship back in the beginning of the series? If it's a middle-finger to Batman it was Lobdell's choice... not something that happened on the page to make Jason choose it.
ERB's stories are brilliantly fun to read.... Dynamite's interpretations have been hit or miss though. When they stick closely to the original works they're really good. When they stray from the source material the product is really inconsistent.
• The super hero survivors of the Ultron devastation follow a trail to the Savage Land in the hopes of finding a way to survive or turn the tide of the Ultron apocalypse.
Interesting... wonder if/how this ties into the Savage Wolverine storyline.
@BritishMonkey: If you read ERB's original works she was. Everyone on Mars was. The entire society just didn't feel the need to be clothed. People get all in a tizzy over the comics, but in that respect (at least) they are faithful to the century-old source material.
Now, how bad the execution is... that's another story. :(
@NightFang: Sorry, but one look at the art and I couldn't be bothered to actually read the dialogue. In that first couple of panels Dejah Thoris looks like a man/transvestite.
