Character development is no longer a priority for Marvel when it comes to the X-Men.

Yeah and that's the sad part.. :(

Storywise? Buu he's probably the most destructive. Which did I like the most: Vegeta, before and after. We still go "But I'm the Prince of the Saiyins!" when we've lost an argument.

Oh yeah! Buu was the only villain successful at destroying the Earth!

Who do you think was the best villain in Dragonball Z? Here's the list:

Raditz (Goku's older brother)

Cell

Majin Buu

Frieza

Garlic Jr.

King Cold

Vegeta (originally)

Nappa

Androids

Broly

Cooler

Lord Slug

I really liked Cell and Frieza since they were the most ruthless villains in DBZ, I mean Frieza practically killed Krillin in cold blood and Cell destroyed millions of people!

I didn't really like the idea about Goku being a kid throughout the series. I liked seeing young Goku in Dragonball, but I didn't want him to revert back to a kid since he had so much character development as an adult. I also didn't like the fact that Gohan was shoved to the side since he was such a great character in DBZ.

Do you think that the X-Men titles will get better in the future with developing the characters? Personally, all I can hope for is that the writers will try to develop the characters a little more. I wouldn't mind seeing more character development with Magik, Colossus, Storm, Warpath, the young X-students and many other characters in this series that didn't get that much character development recently.

@perry_411: I'v been contemplating the same thing myself. If weren't for the X-Men I honestly wouldn't give Marvel the time of day as I've been a DC fan far longer anyway. However, a part of me really wants to remain optimistic in hopes of X-titles improving.

I want to be optimistic about X-titles improving too. I hope that there will be more character development for the characters in the future.

I want a miniseries about how Colossus from the X-Men deals with his new powers as the Juggernaut and I want to see how this affects his gentle nature and how it will make him grow as a character.

Since we are talking about deaths and having characters come back, I would have to say that making them undead and being controlled could be one way of reviving a character without having look like a cheap way just to bring back said characters. Have protagonists shown the emotional tides to said character has affected them with them gone and is affecting them fighting said character. Having them fight to be put to rest would be a good way to bring back characters that have died and still give growth to the protagonists. It is at least one way to go that I think could work for good story telling, but not done to often I might add.

That's a good idea! It would be better if the character who was killed off would be pronounced undead instead of bringing them back completely alive and having no clear reason to bring them back in the first place. Maybe if the protagonist fights the undead character, then either the undead character could be brought back completely to life or be killed and it wouldn't seem too awkward if the character was brought back from the dead that way. It sounds gross, but it would make more sense.

I'm sick of the "Event" books. I had to stop reading X-Men a few years ago due to the fact I couldn't keep up and when I did catch up none of the characters made sense. I couldn't follow one comic due to the fact it would run through 3 other comic books between issues and when it did return all the characters, costumes and character personalities were just diffrent from the previous issue. Thppp...

I agree! I don't like it when writers change the characters without a logical reason or even referring to their history because it confuses me and frustrates me at the same time, so I just stick with the older X-Men comics and Joss Whedon's run of "Astonishing X-Men."
