I wish they would. X-2 and First Class were really the only two good X films. Likewise, the only good Spider-Man movies were Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. FF hasn't had any good movies. I think Marvel would handle these properties much better. Plus, can you imagine the future team-up potential?

I'm actually pretty forgiving when it comes to comicboomovies, I enjoyed say the first 40 minutes of Origins. Everything from when they were kids to the point where Zero is chasing him in the helicopter, but whenever he goes to find Blob and the black guy who teleports (still not entirely sure who that is supposed to be) everything from that point on was crap. It could've worked, if they just left Gambit outta the picture. He's only in the film for like 5 minutes, he was supposed to be like a thumbs up toward X-men fans but he was alot more like a middle finger toward them. Just leave Gambit out, and then have A NORMAL Deadpool show up at the end and fight Logan. It coulda worked....It could've been OKAY, IMHO.
@jj62: I'm trying to imagine they could have handled Deadpool worse than they did, and I honestly can't. When a character's signature thing is never shutting up -- when his nickname actually includes "with a mouth," and you silence him for almost the entirety of the film... I just don't get it. Anyhow, I agree that the movie had potential. But that potential was, to me, entirely squandered, and a bigger disappointment than not having had a movie at all (again, in my opinion).
Yes because I hate the new Spider-man, Fantastic for was mediocre, and the X-men movies are pretty good but I hate the direction the franchise is headed, so I think that Disney could improve on all of these movie franchises considering how well they've handled the Avengers and respective characters.

If Marvel had these characters none of these films would even get maid, you'd likely get a Spider-Man film and thats it.

I do agree that if Marvel does get all the rights back to their characters, it would be awhile before some of them actually get a movie since Marvel is so focused on the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy films at the moment, but hopefully, we'll get a good Daredevil film soon!

Spiderman can stay. But everything else needs to go back. Especially Xmen. I say this simply because of making a shared universe between them and the avengers. I did however love X-men 1,2 and First Class.
Yes because other than spider-man 2, which i consider okay, I have yet to truely enjoy any movie they have not done, F4 movies TERRIBLE, X-men movies bad, Original Spidey = Hey Look a Pedophile swinging through the streets, New Spidey = Hey look a douche swinging through the streets, dont get me wrong marvel has done things i dont enjoy too, i hated how kidsy cap's movie was, and i think earth and portman came close to ruining thor.

I agree that if Marvel did get the rights to these characters, they probably would have cared more about making it stick to the source material since they did create these characters, however it also depends on who writes the script and who directs the film.
What do we mean by should? Do we mean Marvel is entitled to their return? Marvel should make a greater effort to get them back?
Marvel/Disney get a big, fat check every time Fox or Sony renews the contract, and with no additional investment or risk. Meanwhile, they still have a huge stockpile of characters to mine; which they can use to undercut the profits of their rivals. Should Marvel get those characters back? Give them one good (profitable) reason to do so.

I do wonder about that. I hope that if Marvel does get the rights back to X-Men, they will actually explain this a lot clearer than the comics. This is one issue that's always been bugging me about the X-Men franchise.
At the very least, get the rights to put Spidey, select Fantastic Four, and Wolverine (and various X-Men that are Avengers) in Avengers 2 and/or 3. Marvel Civil War maybe?
this. A cohesive universe is what they need, the Marvel movies could piggyback and improve on the Fox movies, especially the Fantastic Four.
I agree that there needs to be a more cohesive universe with the Marvel characters even though it all depends on what stories will be woven between these characters.

I would definitely like to see the Fantastic Four work more in the cosmic universe myself since a majority of their adventures take place in the cosmic universe and Marvel is starting to concentrate a bit more on the cosmic universe with the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

I agree. With so many characters in the Marvel universe, the movies can get just as convoluted if Spider-Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four were added. I mean, the X-Men movie universe is already pretty much convoluted with the controversy of X-Men: the Last Stand and X-Men: Origins Wolverine.

X-Men and Spidey bring in a good deal of money for their respective studios, so Disney would need to back up a truck of money to each and I doubt they would, even with that Avengers money coming in.

I don't even think they would give up the Fantastic Four. It may not be a money maker like the Avengers but it is still a hot license that other companies would kill to have. They could just allow other companies to shoulder the burden of production and still reap in a tidy profit.

That's a really good point, but I do think it's worth mentioning that those movies you named as being good were at least as good as most of Marvel's movies, and it isn't as if all of Marvel's movies have been awesome either *cough-Ironman II-cough*.

I also wish Fox did a better job with X-Men. It just feels like the stories focus too much on Wolverine and not enough on the other characters.
I want marvel to have them back but like everyone has been saying the world would get cluttered if they have to choose between X-Men, Spider-man, and FF they should take spider-man he can fit well in the current marvel movie universe.
They should get the FF now and try to reboot them because I feel like Reed should be apart of the MCU along with the rest of the FF. Spiderman and X-Men can wait because they're still making movies and they wouldn't play a large role in the MCU anyway, they just have popular characters people want in the film.

I always hear this and am a bit puzzled by it.
To me it's always been fairly obvious. True, I may have assumed it rather than having it stated in the comics, but I thought the implication was there.
Humans don't fear non-mutant superheroes because they got their abilities from some source. An accident, an invention, etc. They are single cases; rare (sort of).
Mutants are literally set up as humanities replacements. Eventually humans will be gone and only mutants will be around.
This is, of course, a flawed viewpoint since mutants ARE humans, but panic and irrational fear are all too common traits for humanity. So instead of seeing it as humans evolving, many see it as being replaced.
Just my take on it.
And yes, I hope Marvel does get the rights to Spidey and the others back eventually. The universe doesn't have to be convoluted. The X-Men can keep mostly separate from the Avengers with only references and the occasional cameo to show that they're in the same world. Same goes with Spidey and Daredevil. Keep their movies relatively self-contained and maybe have them make a small cameo in the next big Avengers movie. Imagine how cool it'd be to have a small scene of Spiderman getting civilians to safety during the New York battle in Avengers. The audience wouldn't need to know anything about what happened in the previous Spiderman movies, they'd just have to know that Spiderman exists, and I think that's covered.
