Mainly self-contained but that can take longer for the full story, so a crossover with a limited amount of books like in Trinity War

I prefer to read stories by a single creative team. I'm not a fan of changing artwork or changing voices in the narrative. Those things tend to be present when reading a crossover story. If there's going to be an "event" type story, I prefer that it come to us in the form of a separate mini-series by a set creative team. So yeah, definitely self-contained > crossovers.

I mostly like self contained but the occasional crossover is cool. Not big on events.

I agree. I like reading a story where there's just one voice and one direction for the characters. Sometimes switching the characters' personalities would irk me since I enjoyed the way the character was written before.

Self contained for the most part. I like the MU and DCU team books but I don't like when they ruin the pacing of other stories.

I agree. I get so mad whenever I'm enjoying a story and it gets interrupted by a crossover.

I love self contained stories...because I feel there are consistency problems with crossovers and sometimes it makes a good story agonizingly long if you don't like the other characters involved.

Self Contained with small occasional crossovers. Occasionally have something like Secret Wars where you only have to pick up that series.

No doubt self contained stories....... I don't even bother with cross overs anymore. I don't know why people get so pissed when Marvel have an event. You don't to read it. It doesn't bother most of the books I read now. To be honest I think I'm reading more Image now than Marvel........ The only thing I pick up monthly from DC now is Wonder Woman. Everything else I wait for Trades in, or when it's a dollar digital.......

Mix of both, though banking on self-contained

I agree with this! I usually get a little annoyed when other storylines get crossed into a story you were enjoying and the story has to change to go with the crossover story.
