yeah that can be a problem, or else he wouldn't come back for earth every once in awhile, although it was hinted on previous stories, including "The Last Galactus Story" though that isn't canon I think, that Earth is a special planet that is essential for his true purpose. As for the celestials, well I hope they get more stories written for them to debunk some of the myths regarding about them just to clarify things. I'm not saying take out all the mysteries, just enough to rank them properly in the Cosmic Beings status quo perhaps. Too bad the Eternals comics got cut short, I would like for them to expand about the Celestial antitheses they introduced back then(forgot their names, but the brood like beings or something...)

mhm. I think given enough planets consumed Galactus could have taken the four celestials even if they combined. Wish they'd make more Cosmic comics, why oh why did they cancel Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova when it was so good. *sigh*

Oh and regarding Scathan, Scathan will never be as strong as LT as some has speculated, that was a one time story. And though Celestials have counterparts in the Multiverses, even The Big Four(Eternity, Infinity, Death, and Oblivion) have counterparts in each universe, LT has not as he has the power to govern the multiverse all by his lonesome.

I agree, but like most people have said Galactus's powers fluctuate so much that it can be hard to follow sometimes. If I remember correctly Odin got his ass handed to him way faster when Galactus tried to invade asgard for sustenance, unlike now that Odin actually was able to invade Big G's head for awhile in that recent Thor arc. But I like how Jonathan Hickman is building him up these days for fights and showing considerable power albeit not up to par to what I would expect from a true Galactus power level set. And Jonathan Hickman has pegged down the Celestials a bit as well since he got to write them starting in S.H.I.E.L.D., not as true godlike as in the earlier stories where they were nearly impossible to beat, even just one of them. Now you have Celestials getting killed by Reeds, One Celestial head in Knowhere serving as the Guardians of The Galaxy's HQ, and the Dreaming Celestial being constantly taken advantage of since his "ascenscion" (although I've heard that Marvel didn't consider that as canon after the run of the Eternals comics, can anyone verify?). I think if you'd follow the story regarding Annihilation, where the other "god" beings were in existence(Aegis,Tenebreous, etc...), you can clearly see how the earlier Galactus could stomp a few celestials easily, it seems that as time progresses he needs to eat more planets frequently to sustain even an adequate amount of power.

But i'm trailing off, this is a battle forum after all so off to the battle...

The topic is if a fully powered Galactus fought all the Celestials who would win and I say: Galactus... fully powered. Key aspect. Not mid range Galactus or Weaken Galactus.

Sure it has never been shown Galactus at his height of power or fully fed, closest I can remember was when he was eating the whole universe where he matched the size of the Universe itself, and if at least that was the Galactus who would match up with the Celestials, Celestials would die from the 616 universe. Galactus would expend a great deal of energy and probably go to midrange or weakened state but he could do it. Galactus himself is Galan + Eternity of the previous Universe, so he has the potential to at least equal Eternity in a very rare state, and if that were the case by simple logic that Celestials hasn't been shown to levels near Eternity, well that's a good answer right there.

Did anyone notice that there are 4 Celestials that arrived and Galactus stated that he ate 4 Worlds? I think there's a connection there or could be just a coincidence. If it's not then that would mean Galactus can take on 1 Celestial for every 1 world consume, very interesting. I think the Big G just didn't expect the three remaining Celestials to merge, I think he would have had a fair shot at them if they didn't "Power Rangered Up" like they did. Overall nice show of power levels from both teams.
