I'll try to describe it as accurately as I can remember;

It's a Superman comic from around 2006 which features Supergirl.

The cover shows Superman and Supergirl in space above the Earth.

In the comic they fight a woman that has the ability to shoot a dark energy which I think is toxic to Kryptonians and turns veins black.

After the fight Supergirl leaves Earth and that is all I can remember.

If you could help me find this book I would really appreciate it.
