Rick Remender needs to stop writing stuff. I don't have enough money to buy it...
This sounds cool.
I should really read a Scott Snyder book...
@captaincyke: True, this probably isn't connected to UA except for the villain and maybe a mention or two that doesn't get a big reaction form anyone. It could also be a body double, it wouldn't be the first time; but that would really lessen the impact on Legion's character growth that has been demonstrated throughout the series.
@captaincyke: Really? I started reading this after Age of X. I still thought that it was a neat way to tie this into other X-Books, but if there is a villain who Legion needs to confront sooner or later, it is this one; especially after AvX and Uncanny Avengers.
@yung_ancient_one: Yeah the story is great but the art can get a little rough though
@chanceencounter: Ok one person did die and I have bad grammar. I really am sorry I didn't catch that the first time but it is fixed now.
Hopeless was trying to make the reader experience an emotional connection to Apex by making Tim a helpless whiny bitch and Katy evil, which is fine and I would be on board with that except for the fact that the have the same body. When I saw this, I saw a guy who didn't even try to help at all, he just sat there and told everyone how weak and ineffective he was at life and a hardcore sociopath which made me hate the character and not care at all about Tim since he didn't even try.
I understand not wanting to play the game but the problem was more from the reader standpoint, there was no "maybe this will work out, maybe it won't." I thought it was very clear that not killing Apex was the wrong move and someone was going to die for it. While I don't expect amazing things from this book, a sense of suspense would have been nice. I felt that it was like watching a movie for the hundredth time, you know what is coming and it ruins it a bit. Some of the characters, particularly X-23 and Cami really should have seen that coming.
@nuec_sol: That is very true, the beginning with just Judge was great but there is a limit to how interesting a jaded cynic who doesn't get along with people can be and it is fast approaching. If the focus shifted to the Angelus or Magdalena for 5 or 6 issues, it would be a nice change of pace.
@nuec_sol: Yeah that probably would have helped. She seems interesting enough to carry her own issue. I just hope that they don't start doing issues like this to introduce all of the Artifact Bearers to make a big battle against Jackie and the Ancient Ones
@chanceencounter: I have never read Young Avengers. I guess it could be character development but since it is literally the only notable characteristics of both characters, it comes across as a way to increase lagging readership.
