What I saw in this reel, was a sincere love for the script, the characters, and the world. And to me, that means that this movie will at the very least be halfway good. So i'm looking forward to it. A lot.
I wonder if Dr. Strange will be getting his own book soon... I feel like he sort of needs it for the new movie but still... Also dat axe looks pretty celestial. Porbs not but possibly asgardian? I'm probably most excited about the vision's new look. He looks like a fusion of the movies and comics, which I dig.
Is nobody else wondering why they aren't confirming Tony Stark as Iron Man? The Iron Man above seems a lot younger. Also, how obscure is Red Wolf? I guess they're going for the slightly more obscure characters now? Which I would say is great if it weren't for the thinly veiled history of just promoting them for the movies.
But hey, thats all comics are nowadays. Marvel and DC as comic companies are little more than IP machines for their respective parent companies. I mean, they probably made more money in Guardian's second weekend than they did in comic book profits last year. But its just kinda sad as far as being a fan goes. Just because I don't want to see the same thing one two different media at the same time.
But as long as the stories are good I guess. As weird as shit is getting with this, its not nearly as bad as things at DC. NOTE to DC Fanboys: I don't give a fuck so don't even bother trying to nag at me
Its not that I hate Tim Drake. Or even that I think this will create bad stories. I just think it would have been better to keep Terry as Batman Beyond, and have a heavy side story with Tim. (A la Kate Bishop in Hawkeye) as this just seems like a way for the writer to still write a book called batman beyond, without having to make themselves familiar with terry's character or his universe. If this isn't the case then I apologize but thats what it looks like
I'm guessing it'll just be mostly the normal 616 universe, but with a smudge of 1610 thrown in here or there. And probably a smidgeon more Inhuman territory. I do think it's weird how in an effort to make the inhumane more popular, marvel is just copying what they did with the x-men not two years ago. With Black Bolt serving as the cyclops for that world, and the cry for more mutant or whatever at the end of AvX being replaced by the Terrigen Mist. Even so much as calling Black Bolts team the "Uncanny" team.
