My Earliest Comic Books

These comics were the first ones I ever read, received, bought or found when I was a kid.

They (along with certain other Saturday morning cartoons and other liscensed products) are what started my life-long love of Comic Books and Super-heroes.

They provided the foundation and some of the fuel that still keeps my passion burning hot and bright.

I like this list because not only did you do something different here, but I like the comics you listed.  There are plenty here I haven't read and that's another thing about lists, you can learn some titles you may otherwise not have read.

I truly appreciate your words.

These comics are special/important to me, and it's nice to hear someone say they find them interesting.

Wow sure are a fan of the old comics huh? I don't blame you. They were better then in my opinion (though sometimes not the most intelligent). No story arcs to upset things, just that casual "a day in the life" scenario. Nice list!  You are a true nerd hero, sir. I gotta ask though... where'd you get these?

@SpidermanWins: I got most of them off the shelves and spinner racks of every kind of store around: Dime stores (now called retail stores), drug stores, mom & pop corner stores, gas stations, news stands and book stores. I picked up comics whenever I could. While my friends were spending their money on candy, chips and pop, I was buying comics.

Never seen a list like this. I think it's wonderful. I might have to do something like this. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

And I would be flattered if you do make your version of this list.

Let me know if/when you do, so I can check it out.

Man, these are old comics. The first time I ever read old comics was reading an omibus of classic Amazing Spider-Man.

Nice list by the way.

Yeah, I guess they are old now. Bronze Age comics is what they're considered these days.

I showing my age, huh? :)

Thanks for checking this list out. This list gets very little attention so I'm glad you like it.

Those old Marvel Two-In-One's were truly great! Back then it was my No. #1 must have comic every month.
