Yes it seems the DC boys have the advantage here. Their overall powerset is broader giving them more versatality than the Marvel crew.
Captain Atom is easily the weakest player here in terms of brute strength only, but his energy siphoning & absorption powers are what makes this no fight at all. Captain Atom takes out the Hulk, leaving Hercules and Thor a man short while facing their own opponents that out-class them both in strength and overall power.
Ironically, Marvel's guys seem more unique and interesting than the DC ones, albeit less powerful. Some things never change.
Herc is stronger, tougher, and the better fighter. Lobo can't compete with Herc anywhere except in egotism. Herc has home field advantage, but that does'nt matter, Herc would beat his ass no matter where they fought.
I'd like to say yes Hercules can match Superman's strength, yea, and even surpass it. Alas, tis not so. Superman is the strongest of all fictional characters.
Using just strength, Superman would probably win a weightlifting contest against Hercules.
In a fight using only strength and fighting skill (of course, becasue each fighter has and would use his own combat skill-set); Hercules defeats the Man of Steel. Fights are not determined strictly by strength. Superman being unable to use his speed, flight, vision and breath powers leaves him only a strength advantage. Hercules more than compensates for this with his far superior fighting skills and experience.
Herc and Thor win a one-in-million longshot battle here using every bit of their combined power (regular and amped) as well as centuries of experience acquired battling seemingly unbeatable foes to overcome Doom whom, despite his long months of study, has yet to fully master the power now at his command.
