Hercules inheriting the "Power of" or "Thundebolt of Zeus" could've been one logical possibility following Zeus' apparent demise at the end of the Assault on Olympus storyline.

The Chaos War storyline now draws near, and if the rumors are true, Hercules will have the combined power of all the sky-fathers of all the Earthly pantheons.  This power might well include the power of Zeus, but it would surely dwarf said power.  In fact, this would be the highest level of power ever possessed/wielded by an earthly God.

I don't know if Herc will get this power or not, but if he indeed gets it, I think it's highly unlikely he'll keep such power.  If it's true; it'll be fun to see Herc wielding that kind of power (especially with his close friend and rival Thor there to see it first-hand).

"@PowerHerc: Co-Signed!   Hercules strength potential was determined by both Zeus and the Fates at birth, so he was already destined to be physically the strongest.   The trick of suckling at Hera's breast in large part made up for having a mortal mother by giving him divine stamina, durability and endurance, to augument his natural strength and power.  He was created to be a demi-god on purpose by Zeus since the Fates foretold that the Olympians would face several threats that could not be overcome by Gods alone. Aye!  Verily!

Perseus has been mentioned and maybe shown in the recent Ares mini-series, but which hero is Perseus is never made clear.  Does anyone know which one is him?  Has he made any other appearances in the MU?

That is some real f***ing irony!  The best movie-producing nation in the world won't be home to a movie about one of it's national icons.  That sucks.  And that's not "crazy" patriotism talking.
This is just another sad reminder of how our country has been sold-out by it's so-called leaders (both political and corporate-republicans and democrats) in the name of short-term profit at the expense of long-term dominance.

Nope.  He's not needed.  Cap can carry the movie on his own.  No need to put Logan in there to try and get more asses in the theatre seats.

Also, Marvel would be better-off not diluting Cap by having Wolverine there to steal the show.  And they'd be better-off not diluting Wolverine (more) by over-exposing him in the movies.

For the movie?  Maybe it is a good idea.
In comic books?  Nope.  Definitley not.  His costume in a classic and it's iconic.

Why I  like Captain America:

Cap always stands up for what he believes in, no matter what it is and no matter who he's against.
Cap has the quintessential never-say-die attitude.  He never gives up.  Never quits; no matter what the odds.
Cap is unwaveringly honest and trustworthy.  His honor and integrity are incorruptible.
Cap always makes an effort and usually succeeds at being fair.
Cap is the consumate leader.  He has earned and commands the respect of all the heroes of the MU.

Cap is the best hand- to-hand fighter in any universe.
Cap is a symbol of the American Dream.  A symbol of what makes America great.  Proof that anyone can become anything.
Cap is THE super-hero icon of World War II; the best link between what the Greatest Generation did and us comic fans.

Captain America was one of the first superheroes I was introduced to as a kid.  He's always been the ideal person, leader and hero.

I've enjoyed him in his own titles, teaming-up with other heroes, in the Avengers, in the Invaders and in toys.
He's been one of the best for nearly 70 years now . . .he's one of the all-time greats!  Always will be.

I loved the original story as a kid.  I still think Korvac is the most underrated cosmic being out there.
I hope they do this well.  I'm looking forward to it.

I don't know, but I think they should.
