The Kursed eventually burn out their bodies, and Malekith knows this. I could see him using the Aether to keep Kurse away until that happens if he fights smart. Otherwise Kurse beats him until nothing is left but a stain on the ground.

Ollie, he's way more tactical and he's faced a far faster opponent.
