@jhazzroucher: dude storm would be beatin to a pulp by Valkyrie

Damn... Zero, really? You really had to go there and unearth that? I speak for all Storm fans when I say we want that memory mind wiped from our minds. Hear we are trying to forget about that-- and you brought it back up again! LOL

And who the F voted for Wolverine, Cyclops, and Storm?

Obviously Pixie or Jubs fall in the lower tear.
Weakest X-men is the eyeball boy. LOL

Ahh, Mohawk Storm.

Because a black woman, with white hair, that can control the weather is not interesting enough.

That made me laugh so hard! I almost fell out of my chair. I am so sorry!

@jhazzroucher: That actually sounds pretty reasonable.

I'm just glad that Marvel seems to care about her now, and they're willing to invest in her by putting her in multiple comics.

That is how it should be.

Agreed 100%
I feel like Marvel really had a gem with Storm and didn't appreciate her enough in the 2000-2011 years.
Now everything seems to be getting better.

Everything was better in the 80's.

My favorite Storm moment was when they made her seem stupid dumb in Civil War when she was like "You just want to get with Sue Storm!" to Namor.

True-- Everything about the 80s and most of the 90s was so fitting for the superhero world. I also really, really loved the visual look the 80s had too.

And I forgot about that! Storm and BP going to visit Namor, Doom, and the Inhumans on their honeymoon. LOL

Let's be honest--- Storm did do s#!t in the Civil War aside from being BP's Trophy Wife, Yell at Tony Stark for not coming to her wedding, and that mini showdown between Thor. lol

I thought most of the 90's was horrible for comics.

Having said that-- Let's not forget about X-men the animated series. That was more than enough to make up for the fails of the 90s comics. Right? lol

X-men for me was the first cartoon I ever watched with diversity. I remember when I was younger and it never crossed my mind that Storm was black, Jubilee was Asain, etc. I enjoyed the many different personalities, walks of life, dynamic of the characters and they many ways they coexisted.
X-men are always the underdogs-- and I love that. Anyone who has ever felt different can relate to them on some kind of level. Whether your Black, Gay, Jewish, Fat, etc... The list can go one forever. The X-men and their world makes gives the message that: No matter how different, oppressed, or outcast ed you are, chances are someone else feels the same way-- and at the end of the day, everyone can get along AND have their own voice and story that matters. If the X-men can bring SO many different types of people together-- savages, goddesses, scientists, students, ex-villains, former terrorists, or whatever-- and STILL BE FAMILY-- then we should be able to too.

Side note: I love the uncanny, iconic, and beautiful characters in the x-world. Ex: Storm, Psylocke, Rogue, Beast, Blink, Emma, Magneto. Very interesting for the eye to look at! :D

------Now Vance.... I agree with you, but WHY you gotta bring up fearless defenders... I swear you have got to be a Sagittarius, Aries, or Virgo. Fearless Defenders... ughh.. I love and loathe it at the same time. Great Cast with cute moments-- but why is Fearless Defenders So LAME!?? I had such high hopes for that series... Fire the writer and artist and change it to someone like Brain K Vaghn immediately!! I will be ticked if Marvel ruins Fearless Defenders by tossing it away to some lame writer.

At any rate-- I always support Misty Knight and Mirage/Dani-- No matter how lame the story is. :)

I still hold a grudge towards Valk for uppercutting Storm in the face with a hammer. >_>

I brought up Fearless Defenders because it's also an all female team. That makes two books with the same gimmick. So far it's done fairly well. Maybe people are just giving a try now because they are skeptical and it's new but I hope that when this book comes out one doesn't over shadow the other. I think these two books will me instrumental in making female heroes more popular. Also Storm will possibly appear in Fearless Defenders.Brian K. Vaughn as far as i'm concerned has done a good job so far, Marvel will only fire him if the sales get really bad or they will just cancel the book.

As far as Valkyrie hitting Storm with that hammer. That probably shouldn't have happened in a fight between them but considering what series it happened it, I wouldn't put to much thought into it because they made EVERYONE look bad.

this will be better than fearless defenders

Of course you would say that ;) You may be right though.

As for FD and X-men overshadowing each other, I don't think that will happen. The way I see it, it's like Avengers & X-men. Fearless Defenders has an Avengers/Shield-like field and X-men... well has an X-men-like feel. lol The only thing really hurting either of them, is like you said 'the gimmick' quality. Imo, I thought FD #1&2 were lame. I guess I was expecting something like daughters of the dragon or heroes for hire. #3, things started to pick up and become a bit more enjoyable.

The reason I have more faith in X-men is:

1) It's X-men

2) The line up has all fan-favorites

3) The art cover & inside is beautiful.

4) Brian Wood has been writing X-men for a little while now and really has done major justice for Storm & Colossus. I believe he has written Rachel well in Wolverine the X-men and he did good with her from what I remember.

5) This team looks so iconic. If X-men are known for one thing, it's having some of the best women of Marvel. Put them together and at the very minimum, we got a bunch of shots of them looking hot together-- and who has ever had a problem with that? Besides I have faith in Wood to write a good story! :D

6) My only worry is the plot is said to center around a baby. All these ladies and a baby sounds like X-girls baby sitting.. Especially since we have a baby sitting plot in uncanny x-force.

I will still pick up Fearless Defenders, let's just hope this series steps up it's game a bit more.

& Now that you mention it, didn't Valk beat up War Machine too?

It would have done so much better if it came out like 5 months ago like most Marvel now titles. I honestly forgot about it and lost pretty much all interest in it.

So you're not going to give it a try?

Right-- That's what I was going to ask^

If we can't have another shot at Storm Solo-- I would like another Storm Story like World's Apart (with better cover art). Everytime Storm get's a solo, the cover art is lame and turns me off from reading-- even though the story content is GREAT!

Also I want Storm to rematch and confront Valk in Fearless Defenders. >:D

Also maybe she could make a cameo in Uncanny Avengers? It was rather insulting to not have her on the team.. I guess-- All things considered.

Also I hope Storm and Wolverine's relationship gets fleshed out more. Preferably in All New X-men.

And Last-- I demand that Uncanny X-force brings out the badass wrath of Storm! 'You breathe when I allow it!' -Storm (World's Apart)
