I appreciate that ComicVine never mentions Harper is handicapped, in the headline of the article or the content. Like, "Archie Comics announces a new character" as opposed to "Archie Comics announces a new disabled character", which is how most news sites seem to be writing their headlines.

But yeah, as someone in a wheelchair, the picture of Archie sitting in her lap strikes me as bewilderingly tone deaf. That's... not okay. Super disrespectful. They get points for trying, I guess.

Mike McKone's a super cool dude, met him at this year's Wizard World. Even got him to do a super awesome Adam Strange sketch that hangs above my computer!

@humanrocket: Ah, whoops! It's late, I guess; too tired to notice it was a joke. =P

The art here looks super cool. It kind of reminds me of Katsuhiro Otomo, in a weird way. Very 80's anime sci-fi. I dig it.

The "adult onesie" bit seems to be lost. It was just a black screen. Intentional, or... ?

Kind of seemed like Marc had other places to be...

@transformers1024: It's explained in (the currently ongoing?) opening arc of Amazing X-Men.

Really surprised by the results. Nightcrawler will always be #1 in my heart though.

Real talk: when I was a small baby child, I spent a lot of time in the hospital and stuff, had a ton of surgeries, and nearly died a lot. But one very vivid memory I have is spending an entire day doing nothing but thinking about getting out so I could go buy a Nightcrawler action figure. And of course that is exactly what I did.

I've never been one to give too much thought to escapism or anything, despite loving comics and video games and stuff, but that is one specific situation where I am pretty sure Nightcrawler, a fictional superhero, made a very real impact on my young self.

Wait, if the 616 Future Foundation, which had stellar reviews, didn't sell, what makes them think this will? Statistically speaking, Ultimate based comics don't sell particularly well, and people just don't seem interested in the FF. Don't get me wrong, it looks like a pretty interesting series, but I just don't see it hanging on.

This book seems to have more in common, thematically, with Hickman's New Avengers. The Ultimate Future Foundation seems to be set up to act as the Ultimate Universe's Illuminati. There's no kids, no hijinks, etc.
