Thank you Stylish users !!!

I just wanted to thank all of you that have installed my ComicVine Stylish scripts, they've only been out a short time but I've already had 110 installs since the first one went up Jan. 1st 2011 and even though it is only a few days old my new ComicVine Remix - Red script already has 28 installs !!!! I hope everyone is enjoying them :D

and for those of you that hadn't heard about my updated Stylish scripts check out my previous blog here for screenshots and links.

My Stylish scripts have finally been updated for the new CV!!!!

A simple overnight project turned in to a week long blah fest but now they are done and they look awesome !!! I even added a third script that is in between the other two with a nice mix of the light and dark.

Here is ComicVine Remix - Blue v2.0:

and ComicVine Dark Remix v2.0:

and the brand new ComicVine Remix - Red:

as you can see everything looks fairly different and I added gradients to the top menu and the user bar (and made the user bar wrapper persistent on all pages). I know some people really didn't like the flag next to the following user bar menu so I changed it out along with a number of other icons on the site including the social network buttons :D

and I added pretty gradients to open sub menu's:

Some of the changes to the site are subtle but you will find little changes all over the place :D

Here are links to install them:
ComicVine Remix - Blue
ComicVine Remix - Red
ComicVine Dark Remix

and if you already had one or all of the scripts installed all you gotta do is update them from the Stylish management console or by hitting update on each scripts page above.

They are all tested to work in Firefox and Chrome but if you find any bugs let me know :)

Wiki Editors Stop Adding TPB's To Story Arcs !!!!

Wiki editors please do not add TPB's, collected editions, reprints, foreign editions, books, guides or sourcebooks to Story Arcs !!!! When you add them on a wiki page like a creator or character they go in to a story arc's associated issues which creates a massive out of order disaster. Only issues that are necessary to understand the specific story arc should be added. TPB's can only be added if it contains new comic material. Guides and Sourcebooks also can not be added unless they have new material and it has to be in standard comic book form not just written text; sketches, story boards and scripts do not count.

TPB's, collected editions, director's cuts, reprints, foreign editions, guides and sourcebooks are only to be added into the body of the Story Arc page under the following h2 headers:

Collected Editions

Related Issues or Related Items

Non-U.S. Editions

each entry under a header should be a bulleted list item and each list under an h2 should be in alpha-numeric order. Each list entry should also be a link to that specific item, not just its volume (unless there is only one issue/trade in that volume).

If everyone can keep to these standards I won't have to keep cleaning up the story arcs all the time (I just had to remove 34 items from the Dark Reign associated issues, some of which I had previously removed !!!!) and users that want to read story arcs won't be confused by jacked up associated issue lists.

(Oh and in case anyone is wondering I did not just come up with these rules on my own they were created in collaboration with a staff member a while ago.)

And here is an example of what the headers & lists should look like:

Collected Editions

Non-U.S. Editions

ComicVine Remix for Stylish has been released

I finally released my first userstyle and it revamps the entire color scheme for ComicVine using the Stylish plugin for Firefox and Chrome. If you are interested in giving it a test run you can install it from the userstyle.org website.

If you have any feedback or find any problems with it let me know :)

(This userstyle can be installed in Chrome without the Stylish plugin but I would not recommend it since it is much slower and will load the original site first and then the new colors after which creates a gross site flicker.)
