@chimeroid: if speed blitzing was unusable, would that level the playing field?
But speed is what makes Cheeta special. The problem here is that Cheetah basically beat Superman in New 52 and outran Barry while Mera has like 3 combat feats of mediocre level.
i see your point, i figured mera would make up for lack of speed being near the ocean. then again, minerva would probably stop her from reaching it -sighs heavily- . the match looked nice in my head
@kbm: i completely forgot about this deleted scene, i'm not exactly sure what she did with that cup but it was definite display of how powerful she really is. then again, magneto did tell her that she could do anything she can think of.
i believe right when the battle starts it's just bumi vs. korra since aangs' wind bursts barely do anything to the earth defenses of bumi. korras' waterbending is very flexible, which will definitely come in handy. creating mist to shroud herself from bumi or freezing and what not. if she is to time her attacks correctly and close gaps then the team will have a higher chance of winning. if not, bumi will create a fair distance between them and just bombard them with an onslaught of massive boulders.
and a no morals bumi? he'll just create a giant fissure and swallow korra and pick off aang. in terms of power, bumi has this.
i believe movie jean grey is just as lethal without her disintegrating abilities. if you are to pull all of her feats from previous movies and including the ones in her 'awakened' state, she's just as dangerous. she's managed to:
telekinetically hold people/objects etc in place, varying in size/weight etc
telekinetically lift people/objects etc varying in size/weight etc
telekinetically deflect optic blasts from cyclops and even put his x-gene in stasis [perhaps tp instead of tk, or both used simultaneously]
telekinetically shatter/rip open a steel doors
telekinetically deconstruct objects varying in size/weight etc
telepathically perceive thoughts around her, and even make contact from long distance
anyone may feel free to add to the list if i missed anything. jean ultimately has great telekinetic and telepathic dexterity without disintegration. and if you need a visual, here is a little video i found, forgive me though, it's a music video
In combat, Durge was a match for even Jedi Knights. His Gen'Dai abilities, coupled with his armor suit, allowed him to hold his own against almost any opponent. Durge's regenerative physique made him difficult to truly kill, and even when unarmed, with both hands chopped off, he presented a major threat to his enemies. Durge was incredibly strong. Once unleashed from his suit, he easily overpowered a squad of clone troopers trying to subdue him and was able to catch a swoop bike mid-flight and wield it as a club. He had no lack of speed either, as he could easily keep pace with skilled Jedi, dodging and blitzing even Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. Despite being hit with nine explosive charges in the face, he managed to keep fighting Anakin Skywalker in their duel above Maramere. Durge had a number of cybernetic implants on his body that allowed him to use his heavy combat armor more efficiently. His own neuro-network worked in tandem with his armor's computer system, and his helmet's targeting system was directly connected to his optic nerves. The armor itself was specifically crafted to increase balance and agility. He wielded an arsenal of powerful weapons; along with a pair of blaster pistols and a rifle, he was equipped with a jetpack and energized bolas. His armor sported machine gun gauntlets which fired flechettes, a wrist-mounted flamethrower, a spiked flail, dart launchers and energy shields capable of blocking lightsaber attacks for a short time.
Elite Predator
Elite Predators are often leaders in their clan, and are only elevated to the caste of Elite Predator once they have acquired the skull of a Xenomorph Queen. About 15% of blooded Yautja are Elite Predators. Elites specialize in a particular weapon, making that weapon their strongsuit; for example, a Brawler is an expert in Wrist Blades, while a Spearmaster uses the Combi-Stick. Elite Predators often become retirees after a few decades. Predator culture revolves around the stalking and hunting of dangerous lifeforms. Predators primarily hunt not for sustenance nor elimination of threats, but purely as a means of entertainment and proof of worth. Predator Technology is distinctive in many respects, not least of which is its ornate, tribal appearance masking deadly, sophisticated weaponry. However, despite the species' obvious technological prowess, including access to adaptive camouflage and plasma weaponry, traditional, ancient weapons, such as knives and spears, are still employed widely. Defeat in a hunt typically results in the Predator committing honorable suicide, usually through the detonation of their Wrist Gauntlet's self-destruct mechanism, which may simultaneously be used as a last-ditch attempt to kill their prey. This explosion is also intended to wipe out all traces of the Predator and prevent their technology from falling into the hands of their prey.
