Is that Rogue in Ms. Marvel's costume to the left of The Watcher?

I think so. Honestly, I would think the story would be stronger if writers worried less about trying to describe how an all-female society on Earth would look and operate, and more on just depicting the Amazons as demigods or priestesses of the gods. I've always liked Wonder Woman's Amazonian origins, but to be fair, in mythological terms, there really wasn't a single concept of "Amazons" per se - they seemed more like an idea of a society that was the opposite of a Greek, male dominated one than a fully fledged group of characters. DC has manipulated the Amazonian myth to make it fit a superhero enough times where I barely see any similarity. So from the mythological standpoint, the DC Amazons that Wonder Woman traditionally comes from already seem far removed from their mythological counterparts.

Just curious: Have Batman, Green Lantern or any other heavy weight fought and had difficulty with the typical members of Wonder Woman's rogues' gallery?

Flash had problem with cheetah.

Wasn't that after Cheetah had gotten amped by Zoom?

I'm just asking because it may also be the case that her rogue's gallery might not be as threatening, so wouldn't give her an opportunity to shine as some of the other heavyweights.

She clears it. I'd love to read a comic book where she fights Moondragon, Sinister and Apocalypse, even if she isn't at her ultimate form, yet.

I recently discovered this particular design somewhere, and I have to say it's probably my favorite Wonder Woman look to date.

My favorite, too. I voted for pants. It looks more battle ready to me. And even though Superman also has enhanced durability, he wears pants, as well. No reason not to, really.

I've been a Marvel fan for years. This is partially due to not being a fan of Batman and Superman, and partly never being comfortable with all of the history each DC character has. I was surprised to find myself getting interested with Wonder Woman and Aquaman after "The New 52" launched. I always liked the character, but the fact that she felt corny at times made it hard for me to stay committed to picking up the story when some she hasn't felt that visible in the universe overall, plus the clay origin and the invisible jet and some other aspects of the character are tacky and hard to get over. I am really enjoying her storyline and hope she doesn't go back to how she was set up before. I'm very excited to see where she goes next. I liked the reveal that while the Amazons' daughters are warriors, the sons became artisans working with Hephaestus. It was somewhat interesting to see the usual gender flipping in Wonder Woman go in a different direction where because of Amazon attitudes, the daughters are warriors while the sons are creative.

I like the gadgets, they show how smart he actually is when he has the right materials. If he keeps going, he could be as smart as Stark. the gadgets he uses always are very much needed, cause he's usually weaker than the enemies he fights. He's not turning into Batman, he's not a rich playboy who uses sidekicks, or has a fancy cave or mansion. He's still the underdog, the lonely, super smart young guy who struggles to get by, and he fights all sorts of people, but always keeps his responsibility.

I agree. And his gadgets tend to not be overpowered, just giving him an edge in certain ways. Honestly, this seems like a natural progression. Different spiders have different abilities, and this seems an interesting way for him to develop.

I don't see how a clone, a daughter, a girl who is completely unrelated to Jean are rip-offs...plus they're all from the same publisher...now if DC made a new female character with red hair, physic powers, the affinity for getting possessed by a cosmic being, dying and then coming back to life...that would be a rip-off

They are ripoffs because they look extremely similar to Jean, have/had the same powers and their characters were based off of Jean's life in the 616 universe and alternate timelines. Just because details are different doesn't make a character less of a rip off. In the case of rip offs with a lot of history (i.e. being around since the 60s or 70s), they may have enough stories to have a lot of details that differ from the originals, but they are essentially still lesser-powered rip offs of other characters.

For example, Thor (the original) --- Thor Girl (rip off). Teen versions of heroes, such as Wonder girl, Super girl and Super boy also started as rip offs.
