These are words of pure wisdom, my friend. I agree with you. Marvel, were you in need of another anti-hero? And Slott, you thought that it'd be interesting to read stories of Otto Octavius impersonating Parker and Spiderman? Some people say, hey let's give it a chance! We haven't seen it roll yet! The result could be good. Well, it's not always necessary to see the end of an action in order to understand whether it's good or not. A simple example, a guy wants to jump from a certain height that could kill him. Do we really need to say, well, this could go well! Let's wait and see what happens. No, it's a bad idea. Don't jump. No, it's a bad idea. Don't use Otto as Spiderman. I don't know if I'm interested in giving it a chance.
@Lightburst: Well said, well said...It seems that it's very fashionable talking about passing the mantle these days. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against replacing a hero for a while, but not for too long and most definitely not permanently. Some people can't understand that the mantle is the symbol of one's personality. It's not just some cloth to hide one's face.
2012 and humanity is still talking about the colour of our skin. Way to go, people! I thought it's the inner part that counts but I guess I'm just a fool. Now, for the Black Avengers, I don't think that the skin belongs to my criteria. I prefer powers, cause we're talking about superheroes, right?
@JohnnyWalker: I feel you, my friend. DC doesn't give a duck about old readers in this New 52 thing and MM is such a unique character to throw away just like that. Perhaps, they could both be in the team, if many people enjoy reading Cyborg as a JLA member. Don't know.
