Favorite Limited Runs
After cramming my Top 99 with titles that only have 10, 6, 4, and 2 issues, I thought, "Why do that?" These are my favorite mini series, limited runs, and titles that died too soon.

Not a big superhero fan. I've always been much more attracted to the sci-fi/supernatural aspect of comics. Jupiter's Legacy provides a welcome departure from the typical superhero genre in a story about economics, heroes with real-world relationships, and the family members who would seek to usurp them. I have yet to encounter a series written by Mark Millar that I didn't enjoy, but the unique-among-unique approach of this book sets it apart.
The deeper I get into this series, the greater it gets. I am continually impressed by the unflinching story.
Update: The year-long wait for the fifth and final issue was severely and repeatedly disappointing to say the least. With no indication from either the publisher or the author of the long term plan for the series, this title became rather difficult to love. Ultimately succeeded by a second volume of presumably similar limited run, let's hope the powers that be are able to resolve this potentially wonderful story in far less indefinite a fashion than they did its first volume.

Very eye-catching and interesting title by Valiant. I hope this ties in somewhere in the future because the storyline is fantastic.

Fairly enjoyable mini-series that I would have liked to see more of. Captivating storyline and art. Worth the time, for sure.

Interesting but not in a grab-you-by-the-sack kind of way. Four issues, we'll ride it out.

Very good. Well executed, Rushesque, imaginative tale. I'm excited for this one.

Mesmerizing! With its dual storyline and inventive but highly plausible subject matter, The Wake truly has me enthralled. This is as close as a comic can come to being downright frightening.

Excellently told and rendered sideline to the Astro City universe.

This is the other series from Valiant that will knock your socks off and feed them to you. Excellently imaginative storyline that is fascinating to watch unfold within artwork that is equally top shelf.

I'm liking this very original series. Unfortunate that it only lasted six issues, but I'm looking forward to exploring it.

Horrifyingly bad and shocking shallow follow-up to a fantastic series in Jupiter's Legacy. The art is nauseating and the only thing I took away from issue one was gay sex.
