Paragon

Getting no response from Nano, Paragon began to worry. "Damn. Lost contact" he thought. Just as he was about to jump back into the battle to find Nano, when a new being to the battle flew in beside him and asked about his hand. "Should be fine now. Who are you and what brings you to this wonderful place" he asked sarcastically.

When the tingling of the healing factor stopped, Paragon knew his hand was better. His hearing had also returned, and the sound of exploding ice shards and dark energy filled his ears. From his hiding spot, he had a good vantage point of the battle, and he could see that neither side was gaining much.

"Nano, can you hear me?" He radioed over the NVH com-link. "We need to get out of here before someone is killed!"

Paragon's fist was in extreme pain. It felt broken. The super-sonic howl also had deafened him. His ears were buzzing, leaving him unable to hear any of the others. Thinking quickly, he teleported to what he hoped would be a safe place to allow his hand to heal with the help of the accelerated healing factor. He let loose a scream of pain as he re-set the bones in his hand to help speed up the process.

Oh, my bad. Sorry about that. Fixing it now.

And it's fixed from hitting to trying to hit.

"Funny how that works, eh Wolfy?" yelled Paragon, as he teleported out of the wave. With a flash he appeared in front of Cryo. "Now you know how much we hate it when you guys never follow the laws." With that he threw a punch aimed at the wolfman.

"D-Man, you realize that once Magneto has no further use for you, he will also try to kill you." Paragon pointed out. "Now I'm going to let you think about that. In the meantime, one of my teammates is alone in the castle. You can come help us, or you can keep going on down your endless path of vengeance you walk from now until the day you die." With that, Paragon stepped back and flashed out, leaving D-Man alone with his thoughts.

The ice arrows were only a few feet away from hitting Nano, when Paragon appeared with a blinding flash in the line of fire, where the arrows bounced harmlessly off his chest plate. "I thought I'd come make this battle a bit more even."

I think this is a great song. I am also very much in like with the lead singer.

Ohhh, ok. That makes much more sense then.

Paragon carefully lowered his blade and released D-Man. "I had no intention of taking your life either, this was just a precaution. Now, I need you to tell me why you've been killing off Hellfire Club members. Since you're here, I can only assume you're working for Magneto. But since you really have no alligance to any given side, I need to know why."

Hey Nano, I noticed that we have a base in Africa, but Africa was destroyed according to the beginning of the thread. Shouldn't the base be somewhere in Asia, like Japan, or Russia?
