Sharia courts in Texas

Here's a joke I made up about the recent announcement of the establishment of a Sharia Court in Texas- how can you find it? Simple- just follow the trail of severed hands and heads!

In reality, islamic scholars make the point that there are very many interpretations of Sharia Law and the practises associated with some Muslims states (ISIS, Taliban ruled Afghanistan< Pakistan and Saudi Arabia) of decapitating murderers, stoning to death adulteresses(but NOT their male counterparts), cutting the hands off thieves are decidedly if not arguably in the minority and that Sharia Courts are simply for the settlement of disputes between Muslims(not unlike Catholic Diocesan Marriage Tribunals or Jewish Beth Dins- rabbinical courts)- property, divorce and other matters and are no more a threat to American mores than say, the International Criminal Court in he Hague.

As long as that's their only purpose then I say let them alone.

Some may argue that Sharia law is de facto unconstitutional as it's not mentioned in the US Constitution- but as neither Catholic canon or Jewish rabbinical law is so mentioned this is indeed a red herring!

Anybody think as I do?
