An old joke about Canada runs that the country is SO above board that even its drag queens turn out on closer inspection to be actually women!

Given the recent attack upon the Canadian Houses of Parliament by a Muslim convert which reportedly left at least one person dead( the shooter in question was shot dead by a former "Mountie"- they REALLY do get their man I suppose), Canada now has its own "jihadi" problem.

Recent attacks( in Oklahoma, the UK) and other palces have all had Muslim converts as the attackers- and i suspect that this is more than just a coincidence.

Full disclosure: Although not a Muslim convert, I think I understand the reasons why converts( as well as those born into the faith) are so prominent in violent jihadism- when you convert to a new faith( as I did to Roman Catholicism from Anglicanism), you not unnaturally want to prove that you are more sincere and devoted than those who simply were born into your "new " faith( it's no coincidence that many saints beginning with the Apostles were converts- as is my patron saint St. Priscilla)- those in the know call this phenomenon "convertititis".

Anybody else think as I do?
