@Supreme Marvel: Yea, I started with One Year Later on Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman and JLA, I've jsut gotten really confused with stuff that I thoguht I knew about DC from other media growing up like shows, so I tried to ignore that stuff, but then I wikipedia'd things and found out that those things used to be canon, but now arent. Its so frustrating, its almsot like, why bother learning anyones origin because it will be different next month. Thanks for the link, Im sure I;; figure it all out eventually
I got into marvel comics and read whatever I could get. Iv read comics from the golden age to today, and tons in between, and I've found that I like the comics best from 2000- today. It seems around then that bigger cross overs happened, things that made the MU seem like a real world of interconnected characters instead of a bunch of quasi related stories. So could someone explain to me why people believe Joe Q single handedly destroyed Marvel?
It seems fairly inconsistent, almost like the artists forget how tall hes supposed to be. I think stuff like this happens alot, minor things that are technically canon but get overlooked. I dont know what issue, or even comic (because hes just in so many books) but I remember a short joke from not long ago.
I took a quick look at New Avengers 10 and he looks pretty dinky here
So I recently started reading DC, Iv read a ton of Marvel though, and coming from Marvel makes DC's continuity look like a bunch of random non linear stories. DC's continuity is confusing, there are so many ret cons,. So my question is, are there any mini series that were printed since Infinity Crisis that explain what the new origins are for any of the heroes? Particularly Superman, hes the one they seem to change the most.
I found some of my favorite parts of comics are the ones where the super hero is gonig about their daily life out of costume, but usually this aspect gets little attention in most books, more so in Marvel, and not much at all in DC (but i havent read much DC to know that for sure). Does anyone know of a super hero comic, Marvel DC Darkhorse or w/e, where the super hero spends alot of time out of costume?
