It's just hard for me to get Thor's long series of fights with other basic bricks like Ulik, Kurse, and Juggernaut out of my mind when I think of him fighting Hulk. Even guys like (cough cough) the Crusader have put up a fight against him. Thor has a long tradition of brawling at fairly even levels with other strong dudes, and not using any of his unusual or world-destroying-style powers. (This is not to say Hulk all of Hulk's opponents are super-top-tier either; Abomination is basically Hulk's Ulik, for example, and they've both fought guys like Mr. Hyde, etc.) But, my point is all this Thor-holding-back stuff doesn't hold a lot of water with me. If he really is holding back in 90% of his appearances, then I guess he'll do so here, and if he's not actually holding back all the time, which makes a lot more sense to me, then he'll just fight the way he always fights against other bricks. Sure, he'll use his lightning and stuff, but that's par for the course.
Anyway, compared to many of these other bricks, Hulk is fairly well positioned to do well against Thor. I think he has the potential strength to KO him. If Thor was going to take Hulk out, Thor's whole strategy would have to be to do so quickly so Hulk's strength and regen aren't amped. That would be the smart thing to do--go in, use some unusual powers, take Hulk out fast. But Thor just isn't that kind of fighter. He'll do that in maybe 1 out of 10 fights. And maybe another 1 out of 10 he'd do something crazy and desperate to save himself after a long and draining fight. But generally Thor sees fighting the Hulk as a test of his manliness, and isn't going to do that, he's going to fight it out by hand. And I'd say he loses most of those fights if they're allowed to go to their protracted end. I'll take Hulk for 6/10, please, Alex.
