After the fall of Champion City, a man once regarded as "Earth's Mightiest Mortal" was left severely weakened. It was at that moment that an enemy from his past chose to strike again. Medicorps, the corporation behind hundreds of illegal experiments with metahumans, recaptured their former property.

The original plan for Medicorps was to use this particular individual as a power source to fuel their hostile takeover. After seeing how the Blood-red Brawler adapted his abilities for offense, Medicorps CEO Ronald Jacobsen gave the order to make this living battery into a war machine. His life force wiped clean of an impurity that called itself "Eclipse", his mind over taken by a mind-control device, and his body encased in a black metal mechanical suit of armor outfitted with deadly weapons, Medicorps released their "Black Knight" unto the world.

Now, the Titan of Power is under a series of behavioral control programs for the sole purpose of being the hammer that Medicorps uses to topple the current governments and build their new world.
