While Scott was going through his man pain period in New X-Men, Jean got sh*t done.

What did Jean get done? (That's not sarcasm I genuinely can't remember)

I would have to say Scott was and still is the best leader for the job. Yes Storm and Jean have more heart than the more ruthless types like Cyclops and Wolverine but that's why I rule them out. Wolverine and Cyclops accepted the reality of the situation they were facing after M-day and it led to the creation of X-Force. It was morally wrong, It created trust issues with the other X-men and put relationships under strain (Cyclops/Beast & Wolverine/Storm) But most of all it was necessary.

People love to say that if Storm/Jean were in charge things would have never gotten so bad but they never give examples. How would Second Coming have been handled if Storm were in charge? Would Jean have bolstered the X-mens ranks by accepting Magneto?

Cyclops and Wolverine are the leaders we need.

I long for a really good Dazzler storyline. She was so cool back when they first encountered her (Dark Phoenix Saga) that she told them "No thanks" when they asked her to join. Sure she's had some love from Marvel ( her own series of 42 issues woohoo, a Graphic Novel, a little mini with Beast and some stuff with Excalibur) but come ON- she's a true SUPERHERO-ROCKSTAR and maybe the only true superhero rockstar. She could carry so much more story than she's ever been given. Why Marvel, ~why~ dost thou crap on all that is awesome and rockstar?

Well she did just have Xtreme X-men and coming soon: Dazzler Agent of Shield

With Trinity War closing in and the Justice Leagues heading to war what are you hoping from the biggest New 52 event?

Personally I'm hoping that the characters don't stick with their teams and make their own decisions. There will be 3 different teams with 3 different opinions on how to handle the situation but that doesn't mean everybody on the same team has to agree. What if Wonder Woman agrees with Steve Trevor? The Flash fighting alongside the JL Dark? Constantine and Cyborg joining forces?

There are many possibilities and I hope it doesn't become a fight over which justice league is the strongest.

Good.

Most of the best character histories were kept intact i.e. Batman and Green Lantern. At the same time we're getting more modern re-imaginings of characters i.e. Shazam.

Some people moan about the quality of some titles as though the predecessors were amazing.

The rumor is that the next 4 characters will be Martian Manhunter, Red Hood, Power Girl and Sub-Zero.

X-Men's most recent issue has further cemented my judgement. Real leaders allow even the youngest ones to have a say so. They don't dictate.

Jubilee is bringing a BABY into a battle!. There's nothing more reckless than that. Hell it completely goes against the JGS which was started so kids wouldn't have to fight. Storm should have stood her ground and said no like any sane person would have.

I think Scott should only make up for his mistake when people start to praise him form bringing mutants back. I mean, He did more good than bad, the same can't be said about Scarlet witch...

Oh wait, I forgot, neither wanda or the avengers really wanted the mutants to came back. My bad I forgot.

You also forgot that Cyclops didn't bring the mutants back, he just took

credit for it.

It was Scott who sheepherded the mutants during those dark days post-House of M. It was Scott's determination and tenacity that saw the mutant species survive. It was Scott who believed - without a shadow of a doubt - that Hope would undue what the Scarlet Witch had wrought. It was Scott who fought against all odds and all opposition to see his dream come to fruition.

If not for Scott, the re-birth of mutant kind would never have happened.

Wanda didn't destroy the Phoenix either that was Hope. Yes they said the words together but in the next panel the power leaves Hope and only Hope we don't see any chaos magic mixing with it. The Avengers planned to kill the Phoenix, Hope wanted Wolverine to kill her. If Cyclops didn't intervene then the mutant race would still be on the verge of extinction.

1.Schism. Not because it was a great story but because it split the X-men and now because of it the X-men have something for everyone. Black ops team (Uncanny X-Force), School (Wolverine &), Revolution/Terrorists (Uncanny), Nostalgia (All New X-men) and even now an all female team (X-men).

2. Magneto the X-man. Magneto as a villain really became tiring in my opinion. Seeing Erik finally stop murdering and working alongside Cyclops was truly a turning point for the better for his character.

3. More Mutants. Finally we get more mutants and everything can stop being so bleak for the X-men. I always believe that adversity is one of the many charms of the X-men but for years it was just a giant boot crushing down on them.

4. Magik. As @veitha mentioned already, Magik has easily become one of my favourite characters. Both her personality and powers are interesting and I hope she plays a larger role now that she is quite frankly Scotts most loyal ally.

5. X-men. Finally the x-ladies get their chance to shine. Rogue in Uncanny Avengers is being written poorly but this series seems to be doing her justice. Jubilee is back and Rachel Grey is finally doing something again. Loved the first issue and with the sales/popularity we've seen so far this series looks likely to be around for some time.
