History is an endless cycle of humans climbing up from the murk, and mire, and blood of countless fallen to try take their place as rulers of this world, only to make the same mistakes as their predecessor and fall the crimson-soaked grave. It's as predictable as the rising of the sun every morning, and no one has ever escaped their ultimate fate as a footnote in the annuls of time. In the wake of all of that pointlessness are the broken bodies of the innocent people who paid the price for being born during the decline of one dynasty and the ascension of another. Every government becomes corrupt eventually, and the only thing to really change is the transformation of merchants to soulless corporations. The cycle has begun spiraling out of control more and more with each new government. Their time in power has gone on much longer then it should have, and the political tumult will cause a storm that will destroy not just one species, but all of them. The world is full of well-intention "heroes" who try and prevent the impending destruction and death, but most of them cannot begin to comprehend the scope of the problem, and even if do they try and fool themselves into thinking it will work itself out. With the passing of the Superhuman Registration Act, though, the world has started towards total governmental control of the those well-intentioned "heroes."
Valentino Andriano watched as each to new Empire appeared and just as quickly vanished over the course of centuries, and he grew tired of the endless turmoil and pointless struggle. So he went to work sparking a fire to burn away the pointless slaughter, a fire that could control the events of the world; a fire that would burn as brightly as the Sun. Order through chaos; The Order of the Morningstar.
