@Comics_SKS: Might I also suggest Eve of Destruction? A lot of people see it as the precursor to the Scott Summers of today and having read it first hand I can agree. It's a short, fun little read that features Cyclops and Wolverine teaming up in a buddy-cop style fashion. Also you get to Scott pull off some amazing stunts like his trademark bank-shot. :)

I say give it a go.

I am so glad the people who think Cyclops is right and not EVERYONE was wrong do not hold positions in our government...we are bad enough off already. I am consistently amazed how a storyline that was so obviously designed to be controversial on all sides and yet there are still those who feel a need to pick a side to support their favorites. Oh well if not for fanboys/girls this site would not exist.

A necessary evil really. Besides, what do you expect from a series with "VS" in the title? :p

I like the team overall but two Ghost Riders seems rather redundant. I'm in favor of Brother Voodoo being the leader.

@PrinceIMC: You like the charging up?

@oviouslyjeangrey: It's not like the Green Lantern's power at all, it's pure kinetic energy it has to be always moving.

Yeah I like the fact that Alex and Scott can charge up each others blasts with their own.

I don't really want Scott to make shields of shapes with his optic blasts but maybe curve it around corners, fire multiple blasts in multiple directions and perhaps even randomly change directions on the way to a target like Darkseid's omega beams. Those are the things I'd like to see.

I like this idea. I am in favor of forcefield based powers like Susan Storm's or Quasar's, but I kind of like the idea of Scott gaining omega beams.

I'm not sure if they retconned the origin of Cyclop's energy source, but I thought the only reason he and Havok were immune to each other's blasts was because they were variants of similar energy sources/genetic matrixes: Scott's were powered by solar, extradimensional energy while Havok's were cosmic.

Personally, I hope that Scott is able to harm Havok with his optic blast just for sheer surprise factor. Then again I'm not a fan of Havok. Would make for an amusing battle.

@save.me.now: Somehow I don't see Beast getting off scott-free((see what I did there?:p)) in all this. You don't go mucking about in the space-time continuum without some kind of recoil.

@Blood1991: I've always thought that he was a cool character and one with great leadership potential. I love that he's essentially Marvel's every-man even more so than Spider-Man.

More, because he's a more compelling character than he's ever been (and I've always found him compelling, even when others considered him boring).

@danhimself: @TheCrowbar: @Jonny_Anonymous: Same here. If nothing else Cyclops development has been the most organic((if not in consistent at times...)) out of the X-cast. I understand that Wolverine had a change of heart over the course of X-Force however, it seems that readers paid more attention to UXM even more so.

I'm interested in Scotts' new direction as well, however, I simply wish that Kieron Gillen could have stayed on as he had the best grasp on X-tinction Team.
