Whelp, I'm officially dropping this. Good job DC, ruining one of the few good books you actually had.

@idontlikebirds: They would if people actually BOUGHT the books with the lesser known characters. Gambit has been cancelled for that reason. X-23 and Daken were cancelled long ago for the same reasons. The majority of people only buy those issues from the more prevalent characters. People come here and whine and complain and then they go buy the issues. People's voices and writing mean naught, they need to speak with their wallet.
My response exactly... I guarantee at least half of the people that complained about the events will be purchasing it. Words mean nothing in this industry... you have to learn to speak with your wallet.
Again, five pages worth of comments about people bitching about "events", yet you will ALL storm the comic book stores and purchase this... giving more incentive to these companies to continue pushing out events since they are the highest selling books during the time they normally occupy the market. Your fingers and mouths can do all the whining, but your wallet behaves differently... they don't care what you say, they care what you buy.
@The Stegman: I would argue that Thor was really only successful because it was leading to Avengers. If it wasn't for that, I would say that as a standalone, it would've done rather poorly.
I counted literally 89 people that Marvel lost sales to (for this miniseries alone) by revealing the pitch and really just talking about this stupid ass idea. I find it kind of funny. I know for sure I'm not buying, but I daresay that out of the 89 people bitching that it's a stupid idea, not gonna buy it, wah wah wah, half of them, if not more... are actually going to purchase the book because that's what people do anyway. Having said that.... this is honestly a pretty stupid idea. We shall see how they handle it. (It seems they are just shoving movie continuity into main cannon- hell, look at Battle Scars giving us Nick Fury Jr. and Phil Coulson).
Am I the only one that actually looks at all of these teasers with enthusiasm instead of cynicism. Everyone just seems to bitch and complain; I look at it as what it is. A marketing ploy to continue to save a struggling market. However, it still excites me because it means that we will have comics come August, despite their "quality". Yet, every time people complain, they rush to the store to buy the books. It works, that's why they do it.
Can you please delete the second pic of this issue, the one submitted by RedLamp? I uploaded a higher res picture.
Also, can you delete duplicates in these issues? (I've uploaded higher res for some of them and made the better res pics primary).
