I think Charles Soule is doing a great job on the story. The problem for me is the art, I'm not a fan.

I think Charles Soule is doing a great job on Thunderbolts. I'm eagerly awaiting the next issue. As good as the writing has been, I'm very disappointed in the art. Jefte Palo has done a good job on other books in the past, but his recent art looks horrible IMO.

I think that Charles Soule is a great writer, loved his work on Swamp Thing. This book is finally shaping up and Phil Noto's art is fantastic.

i was Happy to see ross back in character, he for once didn't act like an incompetent idiot who gives into his anger, he acted like a responsible military man. Rulk seems closer to the one Jeff parker wrote for a long time

I totally agree. I wasn't familiar with Mercy, but this was a great start and there is a lot of potential. I just hope that she evolves into a better character from wanting to help people die.

But his Rulk wasn't Very good, though he was likable since he was Bulky and Hulkish rather than being Lean.

I prefer Phil Noto's Rulk over Steve Dillon's basketball player looking Hulk. Rulk had jumped down from the Moon back to Earth, so he could easily survive a fall from a mountain. I feel that Mercy and Rulk could easily go toe-to-toe, I loved their battle; the tension and conflict was intriguing.

Punisher, Elektra, Venom and Red Hulk in Thunderbolts by Phil Noto.

I bought this later in a Graphic Novel. I really enjoyed the book and Ed McGuinness is amazing!

I hadn't read the Hulk vs Banner I think that's from Jason Aaron's run? Jeff Parker made Rulk into a intriguing character, I love his book.

I'm disappointed that Patriot isn't in the book? I hope that he turns up somewhere else. I think that Speed is coming back in the near future? I'm on the fence with this, might wait for the graphic novel to come out.

I love Phil Noto's art. The characters have a mid-century modern feel from the 1960's. I can't wait for him to take over on Thunderbolts.

I totally agree with this review. I didn't know anything about Daniel Way nor Steve Dillon. I think Dillon's art is more suited for independent books than super hero's. This book has TONS of potential and will probably look better as a trade paperback, but so far it's just so so. The book moves at a snails pace and Daniel Way seems to focus on less important details then moving the plot forward. I'm not impressed with him so far. Maybe if he continues to drag his feet Marvel will have a different writer? I'm still on board because I love the characters. I look forward to Phil Noto taking over the art in Issue #7.
